subscriber #300. Love your skiff. Was great to finally meet you in person at Redondo with Alex, Tuan, and Anthony. Really enjoyed your video. Especially when you slow motion. It was hilarious.
Wow, Quang that was they kind of day I was hoping for on the 16th. A super day on the catch. Now I know why there's so few fish in La Jolla lately, they moved to Redondo Beach. Tight Lines!
I was using a sabiki rig so no bait is needed. I've added the link to the sabiki rig I got from Amazon in the description. You can find cheaper ones, but I find these works better for me.
Do you have a fish finder? Make sure you bottom lock to about 50ft and look for structures and life. Look for hard bottom and you should see them. If you see my underwater footage, you'll see that rockfish are around the bell too but they are smaller size. I am usually out in 300+ feet because shallower spots are fished out. Come September, you'll have to fish deeper anyway so might as well start looking for structures further out.
@@alwaysfishing8465 no fish finder yet. Just got my dingy set up. Fish finder is next. Right now I'm just using the bell / rocks and landmarks to try and judge how far out I am. I have a good idea of about where 300+ feet of water is. ( Probably why I'm not catching anything yet lol)

Thank you, Mark. Weather conditions are really throwing SoCal coast off this year. I am sure it will be back to it's prime fishing hole soon.
Thanks for sharing, what type of boat is that , any pics of your setup?
Thanks for watching. It's called the Solo Skiff with a 6 hp Tohatsu motor. I've sold it after I bought a small boat.
@@alwaysfishing8465 That looks like so much fun, I need to find me something like that near Long Beach CA
@@tklemerand It's a very capable fishing vessel and a lot of fun.
I didn't even know the lived south of point conception. Makes sense they would be deeper where surface waters are warmer tho.
Yes, unfortunately for us in SoCal.
Nice video!
Thank you!
Do you use a stinger treble hook on your bait?
No, it was just a ringed circle hook.
2 Lings! Nice work man.
Thanks Cheethoe!
Think I saw you leaving Redondo today by captain kidds. Was the fishing good? I've been going down there every day,no big catches, yet !
It was a slow day today. Conditions was not ideal to be on the water. Managed only a couple of Bocaccios and a Red by the wreck.

@@nealwhite8425 Yeah you'll want to invest in a fish finder otherwise you are fishing blind.
