I went on it the first time ever a week ago. People said it hurts, sitting on the right side it didn't hurt. And the middle car middle seat wasn't that bad. It had me screaming my head off especially going through the tunnel. I liked it. I went on it again two more times the same day. I can ride it all day if i could. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@IllegalPizza777 No steel coaster could ever “pay homage” to any wood coaster. If Elitchs moves & wants to honor the late, great, original Mr. Twister, they should use Gravity Group or GCI to do so with a wood coaster.
Its been many yrs since I've been to this park, from the old location to where it sits near the Pepsi center then named 6 flags then then back to original ownership. What new rides and refurbished rides are out there now?
Storm Chaser has been renovated many times but everyone says it rides almost the same. The indoor shooter ride was redone by Meow Wolf a few years back but it's starting to lose its polish and starting to feel a bit worn. Visits to the park are hit and miss because multiple rides are either shut down, or running one train. Leading to long lines at whatever is actually open.
@CoasterHabitat thanks for the reply (scoofs) sounds like the park is slowly losing it's spirit and charm that it once had and as you said hit and miss. I still wish tho lakeside hadn't shut down the fun house I miss that place but I found out yrs later when I used to work for a armored truck company one of the staffs said they did it because of another retro fun house caught fire and killed many because of the lack of exits in the bldg. I believed they could've installed extra exit ways instead of demolishing the place. Oh well lol thanks again for writing back.
@@user-pz9zm9so6v I've been dying for Lakeside to reopen their woodie as I never made it on. From what I hear, the land that Elitch's is on is worth more than the park brings in. So a near future demise is unfortunately probably in the cards.
They put a little light bulb that blinks in the tunnel. Oh, and they threw some trash in the queue area!..... Not even trying to be funny... That's what they did.

It's structure moves a lot in some places, more so then Ive seen on other coasters. This makes sense seeing how it was made by the same company that did The Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Almost painful in spots. They supposedly put a lot of work into the ride, however it seems restorative just so it can operate again. Still has an old fashioned handle for the ride opp to mechanically open the gates to get on.
I’d argue Cyclone at Lakeside is better, although everyone has different opinions. Lagoon’s coasters likely are all objectively better, as many I’ve talked to who have visited lagoon say their coasters are excellent, but I can’t say since I haven’t been to Lagoon.
What?? Are we just ignoring Silver Dollar City, Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, ValleyFair, etc? It's not even the best in the state with Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
@@matthewbradowAs I said in my own reply, it’s all subjective when it comes to coasters. There’s no consensus. Not everyone likes the same coasters. I’m not a fan of Glennwood’s offerings, and I prefer Lakeside. I can’t imagine anyone actually loves Twister II though. It’s terrible. There’s definitely parks with more coasters of a higher quality between California and the Mississippi River, but everyone is entitled to their own taste in coasters.
Cyclone is a way better ride tbh twister 2 or 3 what ever you want to call it is really tame while cyclone whips you side to side and has some really god air time

I hope once they (maybe) move locations they pay homage to this ride with a ground-up RMC and name it something like Iron Twister or Twisted Twister.
That would be sick 🤙

Mr. Twister's Revenge
thinking the same thing too
Or get trains from GCI
I am more than happy to watch your POV over recording my own. Lol. You can tell how jarring it is even with the stabilizer on 😅
Never been so sore from trying to be as stable as possible.
That's what they consider Refurbished? It looks every bit it's 30 years!
What do you expect from Elitch gardens, a good, smooth, original ride😂
All they did was add theming and steel cables so it would pass inspection 💀

I don’t get it, what was refurbished with this ride? Looks the same rough ride to me

This is the twister 2 why did they rename it to twister 3???
How did you get the camera on? They wouldn't let me bring my go pro on
Probably snuck it on. You kinda have to at this park since they’re super strict about loose articles.
You have to get a media pass from guest relations or marketing.
I ride The Roller Coaster long Time Ago!
still looks the same to me, but they only changed the name
New wraps on the trains, new lights and audio in the tunnel, and I believe extensive work was needed on the wood structure to be safe again.

It does you can hear the wood creaking from off the ride and the trains are always bouncing up and down.

@@CoasterHabitatThis coaster was not built by RCCA. The only standing RCCAs are Coaster Express, Bandit, and Montezum. This was built by PTC.
And the reason they are calling it Twister 3 is...why? It still is the same layout. Just a lame attempt at recreating the original Mr. Twister.

They put a wrap on the trains and added a lot more theming to the cue. It isn't a significant upgrade but at least they have it running again.
