Hey Tom, been in the hospital with my wife for the last couple weeks as she recovers from a brain procedure. You'd be happy to know I brought the guitar to keep me busy up here. On a bright note, I have rewatched the entire homeskoolin/rona lessons series. They've certainly made a tough time a little easier. Keep up the good work and I'll go back to learning that Plexi Soul jam. Cheers
Tom you sure do smile more these days! You should revisit your first 3 episodes and see how far you've come! It's been a pleasure watching you grow into your channel. I know I can speak for the whole of the class the I say we appreciate you.
I was at my sister's place for a gathering and they were listening to a country radio station (here in Canada). I heard this song come on and I thought, "I think that's from a Homeskoolin" episode!" The song was "I Owe It All To You" by Johnny Reid.
I feel we're more and more privy to the life of a real celebrity! Drinkin beer and playing guitar AND getting paid for it. It's nice work if you can get it Uncle Larry 👍🤘
If only I could see this for Glen Campbell and a few others. Marvin Gaye has some AMAZING studio clips where you can hear the vibe being crafted and then it just unleashes upon you. I'm dusting off some pure prairie league as we speak ha ha ha I mean, that album is nothing but magic.
I am in my 60's and this feels like bring your kid to work day. I am the kid and blown away by what "Dad" does for a living. Just a great experience! Thanks so much
Tom...I can honestly say, I've never seen/heard a better example of playing in the pocket than what you demonstrated in this video. Loved the "behind the scenes" perspective of a 'working man". Just awesome man. Thanks!
This was such a cool video Tom! But I’m gonna call BS on old Uncle Larry about not being much of an acoustic player!! Sure Bryan Sutton is on a whole other level, but your acoustic playing is so tasteful. And you really know how to get the most out of an acoustic. Playing with the shoulder of the pick and then picking closer to the bridge....that’s some cool stuff man!! Thanks again for the video.
Hey Tom, thanks man,,. That's probably as close as I've ever been to being an actual 'fly on the wall'. I'm just watching the bottom of the vid and the red bar is getting closer and closer to to right side. I'm just thinking I don't want it to end. Thx
Session Field Trip!! Amazing, nice acoustic sound Tommy. How many jobs on Earth can you play guitar, drink beer all while teaching a class and not get fired? Cheers to Uncle Larry.
Hey Tom! Thanks so much for bringing us along, man. So cool that we get to see a glimpse of what's going on behind the scenes when a real session man goes to work. Really appreciate it! Cheers
Hey Tom - thank you so much for everything you do. The lessons and insights you provide are invaluable. And then bringing all of us with you on an actual “day in the life of a session man” is amazing. Thank you! I’m so glad I found you during these crazy times. Your approach and style really resonate and have helped me get thru some really challenging day. Again thank you! Btw - your reference to “little Tommy and Uncle Larry” - is that from the old radio show Animal Stories? I grew up in Chicago listening to WLS and Larry Lujak and Tommy Edwards. Every time you say “little Tommy” it reminds me of that. Anyways, thanks again. Steve
I had a couple of beers while playing guitar last night and on the second beer, with each sip, it felt like another finger had fallen off. I can't drink and play to save my life.
Hey Tom , never made a comment before but I gotta say you are the real f*****g deal. You inspire us to listen better and be be better in everything....thank you so much!
I've watched this a few times now, and one thing that blows me away is how the notes speak so in tune. Especially when you're playing that riff starting on a low D. Usually when I play with enthusiasm, particularly on open wound string, the energy makes the notes sharpen.
Hey there Tommy Boy - Just wanna say thank you!! As a proud Cleveland boy myself I love seeing you doing your thing and appreciate your tutoring 😎🤘 Sincerely learning a lot through the observation of your art ❤ I’ve listened to this episode about 20 times. It never ceases to amaze me how good music can make the soul sing. My soul is singing while watching and listening. I had to pause to give thanks for your energy, craftsmanship, and enthusiasm for story telling. 🙏 thanks Starship Trooper for taking us outta this ordinary world 😎🤙
Shouldn't be too tough.. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a 1-6m-4-5 on the radio these days.. I'm sure even Tom would tell you, it's a tired and over-used, but very commercial, chord progression in what's described as country music in the 2000's..
❤talking to myself in this comment, but Im a great listener and have a genuine appreciation for all this beautiful content you are sharing-I love this video, its my calming place and I put it on to smile, balance and breathe. Thanks Tom for bringing this world to mine
Hey Tom, love the videos! I just started watching your videos about a month ago. I only have time to watch them over Friday or Saturday night dinner with my wife while she reads her New Yorker. After a long working week and being new parents with a 7 month old we use our weekend nights to order in from a good restaurant here in LA and eat at our dining room table while we do something that we love; for me guitar, for her reading (its how we have recharged during this pandemic). We open a bottle of wine, clink glasses and then I put in my air pods, grab the guitar, open the iPad and tune into Home Skoolin and she reads her New Yorker and books while dinner lingers on for a couple hours. It’s pretty trippy to see into another person’s working life as we do in this session video while your face is now a regular showing at weekend dinners, haha. Strange world...
Hey Tom. Your comfort on the guitar is like an old cozy couch. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it means more than you know. Hope everyone is well. Thank you. Andrew
This was awesome. I love how Tom checks in with the camera keeping us in the loop and nobody else knows. Great stuff! From over the divider comes "This isn't any fun".. little did he know!
Wow - thank you soooo much for bringing us into the studio! I’ve often wanted to be a “fly on the wall” in a recording studio when a session is being recorded. You did it! 🥰 My wife loves Johnny Reid. I could hear the singer’s voice during your pauses, and didn’t know who it was. And that guitar tone ... ♥️♥️ When I saw what it was .... no wonder! Thank you sooo much. You made my Saturday!
Revisited your Baker Street Intro. You talked about Robbie Macintosh. Had the pleasure of recording in his home studio back in 1991 or so. A wonder and amazing experience it was. To be told after one take my vocal was done was a buzz. You Tom have sent the art and joy of guitar into the home of many. Big peace and love. Keep rocking. Nashville Cat of Ohio drinking Rolling Rocking Water. Give out your morning Dew.☮💚

I pray that God blesses your wife. Good on you for being by her side.
I pray for her complete recovery too, God bless you both
Prayers your way brother
Sending good vibes from Austin Jase. Take care!
May god bless and keep your Family. Praying for you all.
Tom you sure do smile more these days! You should revisit your first 3 episodes and see how far you've come! It's been a pleasure watching you grow into your channel. I know I can speak for the whole of the class the I say we appreciate you.
Thomas Zonkowski I think we all were smiling a little less during the early stages of Covid. Crazy times....

Drinkin beer and playing guitar AND Having the talent !
Excellent, and nobody seems to be mistaking volume for tone.
Funny refrence 😃
I am in my 60's and this feels like bring your kid to work day. I am the kid and blown away by what "Dad" does for a living. Just a great experience! Thanks so much
Tom is one of my best friends and I've never even met the guy.
"Skillfully navigating through his native environment, the North American Buk tracks his prey..."
That guitar sounds so full and HUGE just through an iPhone mic. I'd love to be in the same room with it. Great jam.
Tom...I can honestly say, I've never seen/heard a better example of playing in the pocket than what you demonstrated in this video. Loved the "behind the scenes" perspective of a 'working man". Just awesome man. Thanks!
Just sitting here in my green Home Skoolin' shirt clapping along on the 1 & 3... love your videos, Tom!
thanks for the "fly on the wall" experience Mr.Tom
Its like observing an endangered animal in its natural habitat. Excellent work by everyone
I see you and Bryan are throwing frisbees again. Rad as always.

Damn dude, you were just as cool and as calm as if you were in your garage. No red light freeze. Awesome job. Thank you for posting.
Liam Deeney If he’s getting the red light problem at this stage of his career he’s in trouble!
Good to see that even the pros still noodle around uncontrollably between takes
Thanks for the little peek into your awesome world ! What a pleasure, thank you , thank you !
Hey Tom, thanks man,,. That's probably as close as I've ever been to being an actual 'fly on the wall'. I'm just watching the bottom of the vid and the red bar is getting closer and closer to to right side. I'm just thinking I don't want it to end. Thx
That acoustic sounds amazing.
Dan Runion seriously. This series has made me want to reinvest some time on acoustic playing. They sound so good, even through the iPhone mic.
The life I love is playing music with my friends! Cheers Tom!!
Now that's the kind a "cubicle" I'd love to work in :)
the master at work, it doesn't get any better!
"Do you have enough tape left?" "Clean the heads..." Hahahah!
Made me laugh too...
Never heard this song before, but it just became one of my favorites. Wow.
I’d like to hear the song.. U know the name of it?
@@qlobarit’s I Oowe It All To You by Johnny Reid
Love watching, little Tom work and
Be magical.
Simple, direct, and, by far, one of the most interesting things I've ever seen on the internet. Thank you, Mr. Bukovac.
Session Field Trip!! Amazing, nice acoustic sound Tommy. How many jobs on Earth can you play guitar, drink beer all while teaching a class and not get fired? Cheers to Uncle Larry.
""Insert name here" hit that spacebar man" is my new phrase for getting stuff done.
It is amazing to watch a person as comfortable as you make it look! Excellent view into what you do! Thx!
The clarity of that guitar under your fingers is absolutely stunning.
listening to these takes makes me want to add a track on top of this !
❤ the best tone, the best touch, and a sweet, sweet smile
You look so happy working! Sounded great
Hey Tom! Thanks so much for bringing us along, man. So cool that we get to see a glimpse of what's going on behind the scenes when a real session man goes to work. Really appreciate it! Cheers
Hey Tom, that was the most fun I’ve had watching a video in a really long time. Thanks for letting us see you at work. You’re the best!
Thanks for sharing a glimpse of the session world, you never cease to amaze with your willingness to share your knowledge and experiences.
Hey Tom , as a " hired gun" doing the sessions , have you ever had to teach the touring band how to play the song ? Really enjoying your channel .
That was so solid and deep it made me shed a tear
Enjoyed the behind the scenes look...thanks little Tommy....
Oh man Tom this is so cool, I’m wanting to do session work out here on the west coast, it’s real cool to see it happening
That guitar sounds sooo good

Love the sound of that guitar. Especially the clearness in those single tones. Almost like a piano (but better 😁)
Thank you Tom for bringing us along for the ride. Some times it’s a treat to see how the sausage is made.
Hey Tom I can't tell you how much I enjoyed watching you at work today. I am so glad to be part of the Homeskoolin' family. Thanks a bunch.....
Damn man that 000-28 sounds sooooo amazing even thrur the phone mic. Killer
Awesome confidence level, and no apparent beer spillage. Smiling all the way through. Guitars sound beautiful.
This was awesome to see inside the session, what a dream job!
Sheeeesh. YES.
We are very privileged ! Thanks Tom !
Little Tommy “getting by” on the acoustic. Soundin’ great as usual. Super cool to see you in action.
I had a couple of beers while playing guitar last night and on the second beer, with each sip, it felt like another finger had fallen off. I can't drink and play to save my life.

You track with a lot of emotion - your success is no accident.
Thanks for opening a little window for all of us flies on the wall. Very cool. Thanks!
Bukovac and Sutton. Sounds like a band.
I have to learn that song, it’s a beauty!

Guess we’ll be hearing that in the car soon.

We need a Spotify playlist with your records/session work on it. #homeskooljams
Now that’s a great idea!
Hey Tom. Your comfort on the guitar is like an old cozy couch. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it means more than you know. Hope everyone is well.
Thank you. Andrew
I love that little riff in there.
