You do have very pretty blue eyes! Yes, the bright lights in dilated pupils are very uncomfortable. We are also having a huge increase in cases here as well. What is that famous UK expression common during WWll, "Keep calm and carry on".
My 35-year-old son in Chicago got Covid just before Thanksgiving. I was very surprised because he is so healthy. He only went out to work and back. He was sick for about a week and a half. There were a few scary days he couldn't breathe but he's fine now. Although he still gets winded. I think I would make the suggestion about taking the online classes.
I hate those nights when you just can't sleep xx looks like the eye appointment was thorough...must be weird trying to adjust after the test. Glad they didn't find anything but wonder what is causing it
Thanks, Chari. The thing is, they don’t mask up in their class at college, and from what I gather, the other students don’t do a lot of social distancing outside of college so Izzy may well be bringing it into the home where of course, we don’t wear masks. I’m trying to keep the windows open as much as possible though. But anyway, she’s not going back to college for months now, so that at least simplifies the home danger somewhat.
I always have to get an eye exam every two years. And it's always funny when they put those drops into my eyes. It makes for an interesting drive back home. lol
It was probably worth having your eyes checked even if only for peace of mind. A few years back one of my eyes got irritated and I kept putting it off until it effected my vision. When I finally went in they found shards of metal and had to drill rust spots out. The relief was instant.
Nice that we're able to see eye to eye! Your eyes were even more striking than usual. Glad they're ok. I have had intra-ocular lens replacements in both eyes since early 2019. I don't see gynecologists, but I've had 2 prostate examinations - both by lady doctors. So I think I can sympathize with you! lol
IB had the same lens replacement surgery, actually. Oh, sorry to hear about the examinations! I got used to the gynaecologists by the time I gave birth to Izzy, having had so many examinations leading up to that point, but it's been a while since then so I've got awkward about it again now!
I can understand why you think Izzy should be at home. The 11 to 18 year olds are the highest case rates at the mo. Some London schools are going down the testing routes now.
Hope it's put your mind at rest to know that your eyes are ok. Yes we're not looking good in wales. I'm in the lowest area in the South so we are surrounded by high areas 😮 😍
Our hospital is 40 minutes away by car but nearly 2 hours by the buses. They should still have the little cottage hospitals . The travelling eats up loads more of your day, never mind all the waiting at the hospital doesnt itx
Hi Imo and Izzy, You are amazing people I love your channel. At college I am studying photography and one of the photographers I am researching looks like you Imo. Phoebe Curtis
I looked up Wales Coronavirus, and it was saying that starting Monday no High School or College. Forgot to check the date of the article though. It is really bad here in Ohio. We are in the Purple Zone. That is the highest warning. urghh
Oh no! You too, huh? Yes, that’s right about schools and colleges. My vlogs are out by a day, or occasionally two days. Things are changing so quickly at the moment that they quickly become out of date. Thank s Cat-Anne. X
It’s an anti inflammatory medication to control very severe, chronic eczema. She had complications with the oral form - bad guts, basically!! So she has to have the form that bypasses the digestive system.
Ahhh! Yeah, it's called Methotrexate and is a seriously heavy duty one, usually used to treat arthritis, I think? It's cyto-toxic medication/inhibits cell division so has to be very carefully administered and her bloods need monitoring all the time, as mistakes could be potentially fatal. It's one of those meds you don't take lightly shall we say... She had to start on a very low dose and gradually work her way up over about... ooh, possibly over a year? It was a long time before it reached a therapeutic level, but that's how careful they are to establish the safe dosage. We can't get it from the GP - the prescription can only come from the consultant dermatologist at the hospital. It's not available to people under 13 years of age. It's really turned her life around.
Oh Izzy had a few courses of that - it burned her skin - the nurses said she had the most sensitive skin she had encountered in her whole career. How did it work out for you? You could ask about Methotrexate? But do read up on it - as it is a big scary one - but - hey - Dupilumab!! It's the all-new, revolutionary eczema medication. Have you heard of it? It's the beacon of hope for all sufferers. It's a once a fortnight injection, though the last I heard, it was in long-needle form only and they didn't have the self-injector pen version yet. They might have by now? I think it costs the NHS getting on for a grand a month per patient so they won't dish it out lightly. It's very new and was just getting licenced in kids when the pandemic struck. I attach the leaflet that the hospital gives you... www.bad.org.uk/shared/get-file.ashx?id=6416&itemtype=document It has to be kept below a certain temperature in a fridge and the cold chain can't be broken.
Good morning from lazy me who's still in bed at 10am. What a bus fiasco for you but thankfully you got there and back in a safe manner. Glad your eyes are ok. Too bad you weren't told ahead to bring sunglasses. I laughed out loud at your "nether regions". Had it once where I had to go for my regular B12 shot and Dr says "seeing that I had a cancelation I can do your pap". My eyes must have got big 👀, as right away he said that I could make another app't. Ha Good thing your mask covered up the rogue bits of pasty in your teeth. I am also on edge with the rising numbers. Lead health Dr said she's worried about January numbers. Now that really put me at ease...NOT!! Can't wait for this nightmare to be over. Time to get up and have some breakfast. be Enjoy your evening.. Hi to Izzy. 💕😘🎄
My meds make my blood pressure drop when I stand up. Its how I will die. I'll get out of bed, pass out and whack my head on the dresser. I'm sure of it.
So pleased you had your eyes checked out... better safe than sorry!! Self care is super important. X
Thanks Ruth. I guess you’re right.
Last time I had my eyes checked they gave me these disposable sunglasses that were HUGE! They made me look like the Terminator - "I'll be back!" LOL
Hee hee! I can imagine!
You do have very pretty blue eyes! Yes, the bright lights in dilated pupils are very uncomfortable. We are also having a huge increase in cases here as well. What is that famous UK expression common during WWll, "Keep calm and carry on".
I think the GoPro made them look extra blue in this one! 😂 thanks, David.

Oh gosh. I’m so glad to hear he had a mild dose. I wish him well for a good recovery. X
Lol. 🤣🤣🤦♀️ your nether regions are safe for another day!
.. My thoughts too.. Haha
I hate those nights when you just can't sleep xx looks like the eye appointment was thorough...must be weird trying to adjust after the test. Glad they didn't find anything but wonder what is causing it
We had loud rave music blaring out in the street from around the corner until at least 3am when I nodded off last night.
I know you both are going to be fine. You are very proficient at masking up and staying away from people. I also have a good feeling about you both.
Thanks, Chari. The thing is, they don’t mask up in their class at college, and from what I gather, the other students don’t do a lot of social distancing outside of college so Izzy may well be bringing it into the home where of course, we don’t wear masks. Oh my goodness..... vlog twin. I have low blood pressure too. Means I get dizzy easy if I stand up too fast or such like!
Hi I'mmo it's so hard isn't it to know what to do but at least you have been and even though they can't find anything it's peice of mind.
Yes, you’re right, and I’ve got a bit of closure on that episode. Thanks, Julie. X
I always have to get an eye exam every two years. And it's always funny when they put those drops into my eyes. It makes for an interesting drive back home. lol
Oh gosh! Well they told me I wouldn’t have been allowed to drive back.
It was probably worth having your eyes checked even if only for peace of mind. A few years back one of my eyes got irritated and I kept putting it off until it effected my vision. When I finally went in they found shards of metal and had to drill rust spots out. The relief was instant.
Oh my gosh!! I wonder if a string magnet near your eyes could have caused you injury. I guess it would depend on the type of metal.
Glad that you were able to get your eye's checked out. Hopefully some relief comes 😌
Thanks, Jeff. x

I have eye drops been hospital and vision go blur for long time hope eye get better
They were all better by the next morning after a good sleep. Thanks for watching, Jason.
The drops. Yes. The joy of getting home after. They put yellow stuff in last time. My eyes looked like freaky.
Did you take a photo of it?
I did not know you were able to add your location on UA-cam videos. Anyways, hope all goes well.
Oh yes!! I don’t know if it helps but I keep doing it.
I can understand why you think Izzy should be at home. The 11 to 18 year olds are the highest case rates at the mo. Some London schools are going down the testing routes now.
The school in Merthyr have too, I believe.
Hope it's put your mind at rest to know that your eyes are ok. Yes we're not looking good in wales. I'm in the lowest area in the South so we are surrounded by high areas 😮 😍
Hopefully it stays low for you... Thanks, Sally! x
My county isn't low but the town I love in is quite low at the moment. And all the surrounding areas are high 😮
*live in ...

Yeah! Too right. I think this would be 20 minutes by car, too. Thanks, Victoria. x
FN you look shattered. Sending a hug in a blanket x
I really was!! 😂 I so do not get on well with early starts! 😂 thanks Pamela. X

You are amazing people I love your channel.

Oh cool! Thanks Phoebe. Your course sounds really interesting. 😊 Thanks and thanks for watching. 🙂
Oh glad another bus came through for you.
Yey!
We're in trouble here with our numbers too. It worries me
Sorry, but not surprised to hear it. Thank goodness for the vaccine on the horizon.
i had a letter this morning ive got a telephone consoltation on the 29th dec for a knee replacement
I wish you well with it. Thanks, Mark! :¬)
Any time that starts with a 7 is definitely early (but so is 8)
Yep! Agreed.
The bus station looks very empty!
Thankfully!!!
My school is now virtual until the end of the term. :-( As a teacher, I dislike online learning. I know it's to keep us safe though.
Difficult times, eh?
Bless you IMO .. 3 things to contend with .. public transport. Sad eyes 👀 and COVID. ... xxx keep safe Pam xx
I know! What a day! 😂 fortunately the eyes were back to normal after a good sleep the following day. Thanks, Pamela.

Wales and scotland are both not great for numbers at the mo. 🤷♀️🤔
Either is here in the US.
@@Sarasstorytime22 yes thsts really not going well.in the US
Great video :)
Hope you don't mind me asking what's the injection for?

I would opt for Gyni over optometry if in honest 🤣
Oooh! I'm the other way around!
I agree, gyni is a better option than someone poking around in my eyes 🤣
Oh I dont like eye things!! I'm squeamish about eyes!
I'm squeamish about snot and phlegm. Eyes? No problem.

The funny thing is.......I actually think the VERY SAME thing when I’m having to go to other appointments: at least it’s not the gynecologist. 😄😄
You too, huh? Uh oh! 😂
They are bigger......the pupils
Didn't they give you some disposable sunglasses? Maybe the flashing lights are from space aliens communicating with you. I am joking.
Ha ha! I always joke about it being aliens, too! 👽 👽
They should advise you to bring sunglasses
Maybe they did - I'm terrible for not reading the letters all the way through. I just assume they are standard and always say the same thing...
Pasty o clock
This was a limp and not very delicious one.
