Some of the films she starred in the directors wanted her to seem ditzy and it backfired. She was wonderful more intelligent than people made her out to be!
I saw an article about Marilyn Monroe years ago on what would've been 75th birthday. And people actually expressed relief that she died young because they found the idea of her living to be an old woman and seeing her "beauty fade too destressing." It's disgusting that people would rather she died than grow old.
She's smiling with her lips but not with her eyes, her eyes just couldn't hide the pain her smile could. I've always admired her looks, before even learning about her story and watching documentaries of her life I could already tell something was wrong. Her eyes showed all the pain she'd ever been through. People always saw her as just a face, but she was so much more. Marilyn loved reading and made sure to read lots. Marilyn was a smart and talented woman who was too good for the world, especially Hollywood.

Darren T Yeah, I mean, look at what Joe Kennedy did to his daughter. She had some issues, but from what I’ve read nothing insanely dangerous or whatnot. And he listened to the doctors and let her get a lobotomy. I’ve always told my mom I’m lucky I was born in 1990. For years no one could pin down what I had until 2 years ago at 28 when I was in hospital for 7 weeks after nearly dying from liver and respiratory failure: Borderline Personality Disorder. I FOR SURE would have been given a lobotomy at some point, of that I’m certain. And any time before the 1900s been thrown in an asylum my whole life. As it is I’m 30 now and still living with my parents as I’m prone to suicidal thoughts every day pretty much, and easily will stop eating - which is what made my liver fail in the first place. Malnutrition. Plus I have PTSD from it all, and PTSD can never be cured unfortunately.

I read her private writings in Fragments (published as a collection of her writings after her death) and she was incredibly introspective and in some ways, quite disciplined.
Yeah, that book was a fascinating read. You’re right, she was disciplined and self aware. Some directors and fellow performers said it often hindered her though, in that she was too self conscious and over thought things (hence the reliance on acting coaches) but would be utterly charming, even with a tough of genius when she let go and trusted her instincts.
why would you respect Marilyn she was a HOMEWRECKER she trampled on Jackie's marriage and didn't care she craved money power and fame she blackmailed the Kennedys and got killed for it
marilyn once said “i can be smart when important, but men dont like it..” its tragic that most of us remember her ONLY by her appearance but SHE WAS SMART! 😭
We will never know that for sure. They even say Jane Mansfield had the same IQ as Albert Einstein. There's a lot of urban myths out about MM and other actors
Marilyn’s life was pretty tragic! When young she didn’t have a family and her mother was in deep trouble in physical health, and she moved to four foster homes in her lifetime. Then she began the movie business with a bunch of stress but really began her popularity. Not only that but she can’t have children due to miscarriage issues in the late-50s and she really began her downfall til her last divorce in 1961. Then she died of overdose. Pretty dark story behind this beauty! :(
I’m always so impressed how Marilyn came from actual nothing to international stardom that’s long eclipsed her 36 short years on this planet. I think her main downfall was the fact she was actually an introvert trying to be this larger than life femme fatale. When you’re not allowed to fully be yourself it can have catastrophic consequences. RIP.
ever since i heard her quote 'imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring' she has interested me and inspired me. i just wish that she had had the support she needed to get through those tough times, as i bet she was a wonderful person to be around.
Thank you for not calling her death a suicide. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I think she died of an accidental overdose. She more than likely woke up & took more pills forgetting she already took them. That's why many practitioners say if you can't remember, just wait until the next one. She was on the verge of getting her movie role back, she did some excellent photo work & she was gearing up for more projects. You don't kill yourself when things go well. And going by her personality, she wouldn't have killed herself & let herself be found in such a vulnerable state.
@@gaynor1721 I never said anything about money, I mentioned she was gearing up for more projects & did some great photos (which if you haven't seen, you should Google them, she's quite stunning). She did have past incidents, but I personally just find it odd she would do this when things were going well. I'm not a mental health expert, but I do know a lot of things can be hereditary & she was a victim of abuse. I just hesitate to say suicide.
Cherry no residue means nothing was taken recently. The stomach empties frequently & the body could have metabolized anything she had already taken in.
@@swagless5323 no she didnt. she had 13.0 mg of barbiturates in her blood (not a lot for a drug addict, which MM was in 1962) and 8 mg of chloral hydrate in her liver. She obviously didnt take all these pills at once.
People are always so caught up with her beauty and glamour without truly realizing how tragic and lonely her life must have been. Despite everything she went through, she managed to create an unparalleled impact and legacy that continues to stand the test of time, one can only hope that she knows that
I'm into her more now than ever...NIAGARA and SEVEN YEAR ITCH are my favorites but man was she beautiful...Everybody says the same...she's beautiful she's beautiful...but there was alot more...wow was she gorgeous
Her life story is like Judy Garland’s. Both were popular actresses in golden age of Hollywood, but were abused by Hollywood before dying from drug overdose by the same drugs, not to mention that they died in the 60s.
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” ― Marilyn Monroe
not only that her life was tragic and she was treated like trash in show biz, it's not unknown that she wasn't even paid that much. The Hollywood was making big money on her giving her only scraps. She was misued, underpaid and laughed at, and even then she managed to always look glamourous and to have that special glow. She was something indeed.
I think in those days depression/anxiety for a woman was normal to have. It is not now. In those days it was feminine to be insecure and unsettled, Men dominated a lot. Nowadays there are a Lot of privileges. And it does not take away from Feminity either. If you have problems, work on them. MM Ji was Strong and seen as a Fighter and Survivor. People are quite Lucky these days. There are all sorts of advantages.
What story? The affair was just a bunch of tabloid drama (which was most likely fake), sure she sang "Happy Birthday" to him and they had a very good platonic relationship, but come on, he was a very small part of her life compared to her 2and husband, who got her help for her poor mental health and was by her side when she was aching!
I know she was a great actress but she didn’t quite have a perfect life. I hope she made it to a better place. RIP Marilyn. Suggestion: the tragic life of Mickey Rooney. He’s acted since Toddler (or maybe baby) years but he fought through til the end. He died in 2014. Mickey Rooney had a tough life but in the end he was a great actor. If you don’t wanna do this about Mickey Rooney that’s okay.
It’s very amazing what she accomplished despite her background. The one thing I always felt sorry for her about despite her accomplishments is she never had a child of her own. You can tell by the look in her eyes she was very upset she never got to be a mother and be what her mom wasn’t for her
Marilyn was a HOMEWRECKER she trampled on Jackie's marriage and didn't care she craved money power and fame she blackmailed the Kennedys and got killed for it and you think she would have been a good mom NOT
It hurts me to know that she could accomplished so much more if only people could've have seen the pain and the stress of being in camera's eye and being people telling her what to wear and what to do .
Those were the things that made her. They say she naturally ad very little fashion sense of style and struggled very much as an actress ( remember her lines, standing at the right spot, etc) It took a lot of time and patience from many hands to make MM.
I think the way you told us that absolutely true about her. She really worked hard for the way her looks. You are so beautiful and smart lady. Thank you. Bless you.
It makes me so mad that Hugh Hefner pulled that shit, and it also makes me mad that a company owns her image, continuing her life as a commodity even after her death
She and Audrey Will always be the most beautiful and most underrated actresses in history. Sure they are icons, but no one gives them credit for their incredible work! Just watch The Nun’s Story and The Misfits both of their best films LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH!!!!
What a comedienne she was. She took everybody's breath away, with her beauty etc. The film 'Some like it hot' with Tony Curtis. My favourite Hollywood movie.

Iconic legend. I wish I could hug her and tell her how amazing she was.
Love Marilyn. Sad that she didn’t get the respect she deserves. Rest In Peace Norma Jeane💗💋🌸🌹💕
why would you respect Marilyn she was a HOMEWRECKER she trampled on Jackie's marriage and didn't care
she craved money power and fame she blackmailed the Kennedys and got killed for it
marilyn once said “i can be smart when important, but men dont like it..” its tragic that most of us remember her ONLY by her appearance but SHE WAS SMART! 😭
This was a movie line it didnt come from monroe herself dingus. It was a character
We will never know that for sure. They even say Jane Mansfield had the same IQ as Albert Einstein. There's a lot of urban myths out about MM and other actors
Marilyn Monroe was the smartest woman. It is sad what happened to her.😥
Marilyn’s life was pretty tragic!
She was abused as a child, then probably by Hollywood.deffo tragic.
RIP.
RIP marilyn monroe ♥️♥️♥️
ever since i heard her quote 'imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring' she has interested me and inspired me. i just wish that she had had the support she needed to get through those tough times, as i bet she was a wonderful person to be around.
I think she probably did not say that, at all.
Its so sad what she went through. She was so beautiful and accomplished many things even when she was dealing with bad situations. RIP
I worked at a nursing home and there is a woman whose as old as Marilyn Monroe would’ve been this year and her name is Norma Jean..
😳
😳
Proof
Lie
maybe she's actually Marilyn 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the part where they mentioned that all of her conceived pregnancies ended up being miscarriages because of her endometriosis really broke my heart
you can tell the pain in her just by looking in her eyes :(
And then there's Danielle Cohn
Writing a talentless song
With the name
*"Marylin Monroe".*
yEA i'M a diVA LIKe Marilyn Monroe...
You can tell this video was well researched. It dispelled a lot of the myths about her.
Marilyn once said, "I don't mind living in a man's world as long as I can be a woman in it." - That hit.
She is absolutely beautiful. Her smile, her laugh, her voice, so gorgeous.
Endro is extremely painful. It feels exactly like contractions and giving birth
I'm glad Britney Jean Spears survived. Rest In Peace, Marilyn💞
Britney is in serious trouble all her post usually have a lot of signs that she needs help
She has the sweetest calming voice.
It wasn't the first time she had tried to kill herself and money doesn't buy happiness.
The stomach empties frequently & the body could have metabolized anything she had already taken in.
she had injected it all within one minute
@@swagless5323 no she didnt. she had 13.0 mg of barbiturates in her blood (not a lot for a drug addict, which MM was in 1962) and 8 mg of chloral hydrate in her liver. She obviously didnt take all these pills at once.
People are always so caught up with her beauty and glamour without truly realizing how tragic and lonely her life must have been. Despite everything she went through, she managed to create an unparalleled impact and legacy that continues to stand the test of time, one can only hope that she knows that
Marilyn Monroe is so beautiful 😍
I'm into her more now than ever...NIAGARA and SEVEN YEAR ITCH are my favorites but man was she beautiful...Everybody says the same...she's beautiful she's beautiful...but there was alot more...wow was she gorgeous
Was
Her life story is like Judy Garland’s.
Both were popular actresses in golden age of Hollywood, but were abused by Hollywood before dying from drug overdose by the same drugs, not to mention that they died in the 60s.
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
― Marilyn Monroe
Apparently she did NOT actually say that, at All.
@@kiranjitKaur61 For sure! Mae West said that!
People jugged her without knowing how much she was suffering
not only that her life was tragic and she was treated like trash in show biz, it's not unknown that she wasn't even paid that much. The Hollywood was making big money on her giving her only scraps. She was misued, underpaid and laughed at, and even then she managed to always look glamourous and to have that special glow. She was something indeed.
So beautiful! Even with her natural hair color!
What she was able to accomplish given what a bad start she had in life is truly amazing ❤️
I just want to give her a hug 😔
This makes me wanna cry! She's beautiful inside and out. Yet her life was tragic. She's kinda like me, she has depression and anxiety...
What about the story of her and president John Kennedy?
Just asking.
What story? The affair was just a bunch of tabloid drama (which was most likely fake), sure she sang "Happy Birthday" to him and they had a very good platonic relationship, but come on, he was a very small part of her life compared to her 2and husband, who got her help for her poor mental health and was by her side when she was aching!
MM - a legend and Icon lovely in every way who left this earth far too early
Goodbye Norma Jean💕
When I go to Heaven one day, it’s gonna be my mission to shake this woman’s hand and say thank you for all that she did and continues to do. 💖
Behind her pretty smile, there was a sad little girl, that wanted to be free and happy. Fame had truly ruined her life. 💛💛💛💛
The fact that she didn't have a perfect barbie body and was still so beloved
Makes me feel alot better about myself
She was so beautiful and sweet
She’s our eternal star, just like the Greeks had their tragedies, the modern times have Marilyn Monroe.
Ms. Norma Jean and I share the same birthday. I've always been extremely fascinated by her and have a love for her quotes. 💖
I love her! Such a stunning woman🥰 No one could ever compare her. She’s such a legend that will never been forget!!!💭
Marilyn was so beautiful and smart RIP Gorgeous
I know she was a great actress but she didn’t quite have a perfect life. I hope she made it to a better place. RIP Marilyn.
Suggestion: the tragic life of Mickey Rooney. He’s acted since Toddler (or maybe baby) years but he fought through til the end. He died in 2014. Mickey Rooney had a tough life but in the end he was a great actor.
If you don’t wanna do this about Mickey Rooney that’s okay.
"Thats because you make a man feel happy"honor that man's grave asap with a noble prize cos no one has ever spoken such truest words.
It’s very amazing what she accomplished despite her background. The one thing I always felt sorry for her about despite her accomplishments is she never had a child of her own. You can tell by the look in her eyes she was very upset she never got to be a mother and be what her mom wasn’t for her
Marilyn was a HOMEWRECKER she trampled on Jackie's marriage and didn't care she craved money power and fame she blackmailed the Kennedys and got killed for it
and you think she would have been a good mom NOT
I feel bad for marilyn, she never enjoyed her life as who she really was. Maybe the other celebrities in Hollywood feel the same way. 😔
Thank you for another great video MsMojo!
Thank you. Bless you.
2020 and she's still a legend... so beautiful.. classy..sexy..and glamorous..
No other actress had an impact with the public like her... she was special.
It makes me so mad that Hugh Hefner pulled that shit, and it also makes me mad that a company owns her image, continuing her life as a commodity even after her death
Sooooooo beautiful such a beautiful angel that made something for herself after a horrific upbringing
She and Audrey Will always be the most beautiful and most underrated actresses in history. Sure they are icons, but no one gives them credit for their incredible work! Just watch The Nun’s Story and The Misfits both of their best films LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH!!!!
Awesome video good Job I in joy it thanks for the video I Love it have a good day and Night ❤👌👍
She was so beautiful🥺
What a comedienne she was. She took everybody's breath away, with her beauty etc. The film 'Some like it hot' with Tony Curtis.
My favourite Hollywood movie.
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
- Marilyn Monroe
Actually , MAE WEST said that.
I love Marilyn💕✨ she was ahead of her time!
... And if she had been born in the present times, she would be always ahead of the times
@@iconslegends5230 Uhhhh no.
@@Melinda8162 Oh no! Am I attacked by you? How sad, your hatred for her is stronger than the love you have for me
@@iconslegends5230 Where did I say that, where did I say I hated her? (edit: after all, she was left-handed so am I)! Just don't agree with your comment, but who knows what she would in today's time! Maybe you're right.
No, no! How can you say that? I love you very much, and you know it! 😔
She is so iconic still so much longer after her death , how many others can you say the same about?
My cousin got this name for her dog and I gotta say Marilyn was such a beautiful actress
Rest In Peace… you will never be forgotten, Marilyn Monroe. 🙏🕊
Hollywood will pay you 1$ for your soul, but they’ll pay you 10M$ for a kiss.”~ Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe is such a inspiration to me! as you can see in my profile picture (the girl with blonde hair) that’s me! When I was little ppl used to call me Marilyn Monroe, I didn’t even know who she was, and when I see her now... I’m so happy I still get called after this amazing, beautiful women!
MARILYN MONROE IS MY HERO!!!!!!!! I love everything she did from the gentleman prefers blondes, some like it hot, there’s no business like show business, Niagara, the seven year itch ❤️ she will always be the legend in my heart I love you always Marilyn 🥰❤️
Marilyn was so dreamy, and childlike with her innocent beauty. No one will ever replace her.
lynne laurence nobody!
