Mask is a good idea as well if your sprayer delivers a fine mist. I tend to mix my cleaner at a heavier concentration on heavy buildups.

Thanks. I try to keep them as informative as possible. It's not the easiest or the kind of thing that only takes little time. Lol

That noise was horrible. Crazy what happens when bearings wear out. I've never worked on one this style of ice machines, but it seems interesting.

@bradmironik6137 I agree. That is one of the worst ones I've came across. What's stupid is that this machine has been warning them about this for a long time. When the scale builds up, it overamps and trips with a code 2. Probably also had the Descale light on. So, instead of getting it cleaned and acting on the Red Light, and calling for service to clean it, they just reset it. Over and over again. And when they finally did decide to call for service, if they had a good tech who recommended cleaning, the store just said, no, maybe next time. SMH, that's what they get

    Sad lack of maintenance

Yes. That is all that this is. Why would a business pay over $10,000 on a machine, just to neglect it completely when it's in your store...

That’s the sound a flaker makes when it’s making ice with cleaner. The cleaner turns to slush and makes the gear motor pull high amps. Flush the cleaner out and then start it up again. Should run fine.
Edit: I spoke too soon. Didn’t see you wiggle the top to show the bad bearings. It’s done.

Lol, but they do. I have to chop all the songs up. Every 3 seconds, I cut out about 0.1 seconds from it, and this seems to do the trick

Do you really? I like them. Once upon a time, I was apprehensive when I knew that my service call that I was headed to was one of those. Like back in 2020, where I was working had the Sonic Drive Up Account, and everytime i.got an Ice Machine call there, I knew. These days, I think I would rather actually work on.one of those than on a crescent or half dice cuber.....
