Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- Big and aggressive deep diving crankbaits trigger aggressive reaction strikes from the biggest bass in a system, but choosing the right crankbait for the job, and proper implementation, require time on the water or some shared knowledge from experienced fisherman. Bassmaster Elite Series Pro Brandon Palaniuk, shares some insightful tips on choosing the right lure for the conditions, and how to work big crankbaits to trigger bass into biting. Take it from an analytical and innately “fishy” pro that credits big cranks to supplying Elite Series paychecks!

nice underwater footage
+SnorryHobo Thanks, appreciate the comment.
awesome tips Brandon thanks for sharing
Pretty cool vid of the bait...wish more vids had this
I wish crank baits worked like that in real life.. in my lake I catch a branch everytime
I was about to mention how much money id spend doing that at the river.
Get a softer action rod with more bend. Itll load up on the bill slower and pull it over instead of loading up quick and pulling straight into a branch. Mono also helps bc of stretch but flouro will dive a little deeper
🤣
Need to be on a boat in a less vegetated lake. Very hard. One out of five of my lakes offer that
or plastic (garbage) or get hooked to a rock and bye bye bait.
Good info. I would like to know more about this tackle set-up. Looks like an Ike's cranking rod and the reel looks like an Abu Salty Stage SJ or a Big Shooter (both are JDM - Japanese Domestic Market).
All I have is a lure and a Zebco 33
Mikey balzz got this one covered! He had 49 pounds in five fish and caught it all on camera. On a pressured State Lake in Florida. i watch your video though just to see what you have to say lol.
Awesome thanks for the tips Brandon
+Ted McCarthy Thanks for the feedback Ted. Brandon is loaded with good info and terrific to work with on these videos. We just shot a bunch more with him, which will be playing through the remainder of this year and into next.
What kind of rod is Brandon using in the video??
what size is this crankbait would you recommend getting a size 10
Is that a revo sx with a revo beast handle?
He is on Lake Toho
Finally first diver vid
Thanks for videos
Free case! Free extra lure! Amazing paint apps!
very well spoken
good vid bro
How do you feel the difference between a bottom rock or a bite
If you're using a good cranking rod, the lure will hit and deflect off the rocks, but not lockup or snag. If it's a fish, the rod will load up, and stay loaded. It almost feels like a pulsing wet sock on a more parabolic cranking rod, which is often a medium-fast action vs. fast or extra fast.
You mean moderate-fast
What size treble hook do you recommend. And what brand do you like?
I use VMC 7554 or 7556 treble No.2 - No.1
which abu reel is this?
Which reel
What about fishing at tanks? I mostly go largemouth fishing at my tank. Do you have any tips for using crank bait lures at tanks
The "edge" is called a breakline. Why don't you just use Spoonplugs? They're made out of metal and sink to bottom. You won't have to make such long casts.
How does his crank bait not hang up on the limbs underwater? It's just passes over it!? Mine gets stuck on that all the time
keep a steady reel and hooks will stay back/out of the cover. if you're in horizontal cover/timber, when u bump in to something, dead stick it and stop reeling and let the bait float up and over the cover and start reeling again.
Thanks for the assist and great response!
+Wired2Fish you got it! Huge fan of BMP, Wired2Fish and rest of the gang. I still have my hand written letter from y'all! Lol
M A R K E T I N G
Literally
What color do have here?
But what if the fish wasn't behind the rock instead the fish noticed it when it got off the track
Consider finding the SAND...not mud - bars...I'm shallow water mind u. Take those deep divers and run them THROUGH THE SAND . Kick up as much as u can. At least that works in the Mississippi' near mpls mn
I throw shallow cranks all the time on rivers...into the wood. I'm on a kayak and can retrieve a snag, but I can throw for hours without having too. The more you do it the better you get. Pike are the only time I lose a shallow crank. Buy a lure retriever for the deep cranks, if your on a boat...your good.
What line? Pike shouldn’t be biting off your lure
@@oldqcc It doesn't matter what kind of line when it's 6-16lb test. Don't get me wrong, I catch way more of them than lose. But I've had em slice though 40lb fluorocarbon.
@@rhodesianhunter9360 yea fair enough
what reel is that is it a lews
It clearly said Abu Garcia at 1:50 smh
+Alex R. smh ??
the cocky twat is saying shake my head. smh
+mario fisher yea cause how dumb do u have to be to not see the brand on the reel smh
What Oakley frames are those?
Holbrook
The guy in the background trying to board your boat? Geez some people
Why do so many pros switch to cast?
Just boggles my mind....
Probably just what they're used to. All LHR for me though.
Because they are pros…this is how you’re suppose to cast. I bat right handed…I’m not going to try to hit left cuz the base is closer 🤷♂️ dominant hand with the most power.
@@Jcestanley So hold the bat in your right hand all the time.
Since we're on baseball, do you pitch right handed & then throw on a right handed glove to catch? Didn't think so.
@@elonmust7470 haha touché but I use my left hand to fish just like I use my glove on the left. Still, these guys are pros. They can out fish us in their sleep and somehow they cast wrong 🤷🏻♂️it’s a power and accuracy thing…my left only catches a ball my left only holds a rod and feels for a bite. I play guitar right handed but finger with my left but still considered playing right handed
i think you should use shorter lip crankbait..yours just hit rocks and it didnt swim normally.
Deflections are one of the key triggers for fish strikes. With a crankbait you really want to grind bottom on bounce off cover. Thats all part of the swimming action. Thanks for the comment!
All the pros tell us normal folks to throw our crankbaits into cover and into rocks, meanwhile they sit back and laugh at them, hive fives ,thats why we're pros and yall broke haha! Why would they give their secrets away, best way to catch fish is to fish...
Am I the only one that sees the other guy creepin in on his spit? Unbelievable!
Spit?
If you have a deep diver other than an Arashi then this is what will happen....."if the fish was right behind the rock he may never see it" lol ... ok sure man.
+mojo jojo a fun glimpse into the analytical mind of one the the finest young anglers on tour. We fisherman are an interesting bunch : )
@@Wired2Fish thank god for that self tuning lip.... lol
2:27 bottom left of screen a fish jumps
yea got it good spotting m8
he didn't catch anything in this CLIP cause he was just talking about how to fish them and what to do! you obviously know nothing about fishing @greatsportb
Can’t catch them without electronics?! 🤣
Notice this guy he said diving bait but as soon as that bait hit the water he is cranking this the reason some of these guys are not worth listen to
You have to crank it for it to dive what are you even saying
lol
