- Boris Berezovsky plays all 12 of Liszt's Transcendental Etudes in one sitting. Truly heroic. He deserves an Olympic medal.
"Roque d'Antheron 2002 - Boris Berezovsky

Una interpretazione unica grandiosa definitiva bellissima irripetibile. Grazie per averla postata
I was just listening to Berezovsky do these in Moscow (2009). The camera was so bad that by Ricordanza I had had enough. So I came over here and the camera work is even worse. We should have a rule-book about what cameras can and can't show. This perf. is more spontaneous than that of Moscow.
I was gonna complain of the very lousy camera job too.Don't know why we have to see the camera moving all the time. Why can't it stay still? Why focus on the artist's one eye, his little finger, sweat on his nose and face, his rather hairy arm --when we want to see his hands, arms and maybe face more?? 😢😢😢
Really sad! 😢😮😢😢😢
BUT thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
Is it that bad? focus on the sound if you think so 😂
I think it’s quite good actually, what’s wrong with it? What do you guys think would be best?
Super!!!!
AWESOME 😲👏👏👏
The silence after 30:32 says everything.
Best performance of No. 8 I've heard.
This guy is a badass
Still the best Transcendentals, and that's including Yunchan Lim.
N O
1000% nobody plays it the style he does everyone else sounds the same. Too much pedal by the rest of them
There are so many candidates for that distinction, like Bolet, Lazar Berman and of course, Liszt himself!
Yumchan’s Feux Follets is much better
Yunchan lim Is incredibly overrated
wow
When you are playing like this, chasse-niege is the hardest as you are extremely tired
I really liked his Mazeppa but I noticed that for the thirds in the beginning he seems to take the first two thirds in the left hand and then the next four thirds in the right hand. In the score, Liszt, I think, wrote the last two thirds in the left hand meaning that you have to cross the hands. I'm going to try it the way he did it in the video to see if it makes a difference as this piece is unbelievably difficult lol
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
48:25 they really need to install a/c
It is played outside
Why so many dislikes
Because of the cameraman
@@jukeban646 because of the online editor.
@@jukeban646 honestly i quite enjoy it, it brings nice visuals to the music!
Jealousy
Poor guy, he is sweating like hell. Very challenging to play in such a hot room.
It's actually outdoors in the south of France with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius and hot lights for the camera above!
mans absolutely *could not* stop zooming in on bro's nose pimple
Are his fingers sweating?
WTF is he even human?
Why do you ask? These pieces are not even near the hardest pieces Liszt wrote
@@Ash1nerTV not about the difficulty of the works but about the brilliance of this performance.
@@Ash1nerTV waiting for yours video of these simple 12 pieces in row (i believe you will achieve it without sweat unlike Boris)
I wouldn’t sweat like that since im 13, but you might have to wait a while since I only know no 4, no 7 and no 1 🫤
Also my teacher wants me doing Chopin Ètudes Op. 10 right now
@@Ash1nerTV Mazeppa, Chasse-Neige, and Feux Follets are absolutely in the upper realm of difficulty for what Liszt wrote.
@@BusyLucas yes agree. Raw passion.
the most perfect combination of stupendous virtuosity and musicality - the latter so often seems to get lost when the demonstration of virtuosity supersedes the musical contents
This is his peak? I think so.
Etude 1, 2, 3 ...warming up
Taking a break between 3rd and 4th.....REAL SHIT STARTS !!
Why are the audience clapping? It's totally interrupted to hear
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤜👏🤛👏
This is my favourite.
