Hello, I would like to know how to install the plastic pet door in my brick wall. Do you have a training video for that, please? As the instructions only mention installation in doors.

Thank you so much for reaching out. This door is designed to be installed in wood, PVC, metal and paneled doors from 1/16 in - 2 in thick. For walls we would suggest our Wall Entry Pet Door™

Does it matter what direction it is installed? My contractor installed it with the flap on the outside as opposed to the inside… with the cover snapping on to the outside. I can’t reverse it because he also painted it to match the door. Is there some reason why the flap and cover should be on the inside instead of out? Thanks.

Thank you so much for asking. While the door can be installed either way, most people choose to install so that the closing panel is easily placed on the inside for convenience.

It’s very, very difficult to snap the “tunnel” pieces into the exterior frame as shown about 3:10.

It says it works on doors as small as 1/16th". My door is 3/4". I add 7/8" and that 1 5/8" or 1.625". 1 5/8 or 1.625" is before where the first groove starts unless I measure starting from The groove side. The grooves don't start to 1 7/8" if I measure starting from the flat side to where grooves start. Confused. So where do I cut?

Though the grooves match common widths for many doors, for very narrow doors it may be needed to cut below the point of the grooves, using the depth measurement of your door + 7/8". We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

These plastic screws and nuts suck. I'm not sure which is worse. 3 work just fine and the other 3 won't let me put the nut on the out side.
