    the bridge on the ibanez q for me is just better, specially for intonation just turn the screw and check same for the string height, for the strandberg you need to completely loosen the string, loosen the tuner, move it, tighten it back up, retune and check and pray to god you got it right and not have to do all that steps all over again and its pretty much the same trouble adjusting the string height.. and the ibanez is less than half the price which is crazy cause they're both built by cort

    I have tried both. I wanted to love the Strandberg because I thought the neck might help with my carpal tunnel issues, but it actually felt worse. The Ibanez Q52 has a very thick neck profile, not a typical Wizard that most of us are used to from Ibanez. I didn't like it, to be honest. Now Ibanez does have a QX52 model that has angled frets and a normal Wizard neck, the thinner profile, and I liked it much more.

    • @LMGuitarCorner
      @LMGuitarCorner  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi there. I haven't played a QX52 yet and I didn't know that it has a different neck profile. That's interesting! Personally, I love the neck of the Q52 PB - it has exactly the thickness I like. I agree, it's not your typical Ibanez, thin Wizard profile. Too bad that the Strandberg neck didn't work for you. I like it also a lot, but I usually prefer regular neck shapes 😅

    The Boden neck blew me away. Both nice guitars
    I personally have to have the wiggle stick. So I bought the strandberg. Stainless steel fanned frets. Wanted something different and lite
    The quality is impeccable. Didn't know if I'd like the neck or frets. I don't, I love it. And the glow in the dark markers are nice to have. Little expensive, most good things are. Both great but the Bodan gets my money. So easy to play, sound pretty damn good. And Swiss designed. If only my Les Paul was that lite with a trem bar. The Gibson Assess is too much money and weight. I really enjoy my Bodan.

    Lukus Love the Guitars 1st, but only by looks the Strandberg gets my interest, 1 I like Neck Pro.Shape, & the Frets angle I would love your input on, 2 body shape fit seting down cut aways, 3 HSS, Trem, but ify on design?,, Your thoughts?? Your Music-In-Law Ryan Hall 🎸🤘🤠

      Hey Ryan! The Quest feels more like a traditional electric guitar. Martin also likes that one. The Strandberg feels very unusual at first (neck shape and because of the fanned frets in particular), but I'd say you get used to it. It's my first multi scale and the more you play, the more you see the benefits. I agree, you can't go wrong with HSS! The body shape is even more ergonomic than the Quest, it's really comfortable and allows many playing positions. Cheers, Lukas

    Had a Boden 7 standard, and Just recently got a Q52, the Q52 is far and away the more comfy guitar. Did not enjoy the weird "ergonomic" strandberg neck.

    have played both and bought a strandberg, hands down the better guitar in every way. Also the cut out at the volume knob on hte Strandberg for sitting down is gamechanging. you cant rest the Ibanez well in sitting.

      Disagree, got rid of my Boden Standard 7 because of how uncomfy it was, and how dull the PUPS were for a $1600 guitar. Q52 is leagues better in comfortability for me.

    Planning to move from strandberg to ibanez q, my only concern is; is ibanez as comfy to play while sitting? Like in classical position, does the input jack ever get in the way?

    • @LMGuitarCorner
      @LMGuitarCorner  9 місяців тому +1

      Hey Alkin. I was finally able to grab the Quest and give it a try. First, I have to mention that I almost never play in classical position, ie the guitar always rests on my right leg. What I noticed is that depending on how you sit (how close the legs are together) and how you hold the guitar (the angle), either the lower strap pin or the tuners might poke your leg or at least feel not very comfortable. In conclusion - it's is interior to the Strandberg when it comes to playing in a classical position, imho. Hope this helps. Cheers, Lukas

    The Strandberg is superior, it was engineered from the ground up to be what it is. The Ibanez is an attempt at copying the Strandberg design at a more attractive price point, which is fine and a smart business move, but not a Strandberg

      @@dudeswithguitarsMETAL should have got the prog with Fishmans judging by your @, but if you didn't like the neck, which I assume you mean by uncomfortable, then yeah just not your thing. I find it super comfortable to the point that It honestly ruined wanting to play all my other guitars, but of course that's highly subjective.

    The Ibanez is a regular ass guitar that’s headless….. just to be headless, the strandberg is a pro level purpose built machine that everyone swears by - literally not even in the same category other than how they look at a glance

    • @LMGuitarCorner
      @LMGuitarCorner  6 місяців тому

      I would phrase that differently. From what I can tell the Strandberg stands out and most other headless guitars are closer to the Ibanez in terms of specs and feels.

      I'm with you, good sir. It's a work of art that sounds pretty damn good. Easy to play. The Swiss got this one, right! Love mine. When I picked it up I couldn't believe how lite it was. And the glow in the dark markers come in handy. What a great guitar. Stainless steel frets. Hands down awesome.
      It even has all c.t.s. pots. Impressive. Tune it once.
      Quickly becoming my number one guitar.
