I started tiling countertops in my renovated home, and it was so fulfilling I started my 1st small mosaic last Fall. I am still cutting and reassembling it on my porch table but had to bring the glues, tools, and grouts in over the winter. Your tour of Byzantine mosaics was very inspirational. Thank You
I'm so glad to hear that you've caught the mosaic 'bug'! It is frustrating having to to stop because of the weather but hopefully you'll be able to get back to it soon. 😀
I love this video! This has inspired me as I’ve been in a slight rut. Thanks for supporting and growing a lovely mosaic community! ❤

Happy New Year! Those were great tips. My first mosaic was a large one and I made many mistakes, but I haven't given up. Try, try again.

Hello Helen, I have a question about making a mosaic in general, when do you use geometry? which geometry? how do you do ?Thank you very much, I love everything you teach us i really appreciate, have a good day.
Hello Alexandra, I try to avoid using geometry as much as possible because my maths is not very good! However it is needed, especially for larger designs. For example, a circle which needs to be divided into seven equal parts. I find that it is best to get the help of someone who is good at geometry to help when these problems crop up. 😀
Dear Helen,
I'm an art student trying to get into mosaics and your videos have been a major source of inspiration, so thank you for that!
Have you ever used glass as a substrate? If so, I'd be more than interested to hear your thoughts about it!
May the Lord bless you in this new year
You are so welcome! I am afraid I have never used glass as a substrate so I can't really help but it is a popular choice and I am sure that you will be able to find lots of glass on glass tutorials here on UA-cam.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment :) I've learned a lot through your channel, it is informative and the videos are well made. I haven't watched everything yet, but it's on my list!
