I have a 680 which doesn't snap open, I have to push the metal strut for it to lock into place. Is there a fix for that? I was wondering if the bellows had shrank a bit, making it harder to open fully.
Do you know of a source for just the mechanism side of the SX-70? I want to modify it into the back for my medium format camera i inherited, but don't want to break a perfectly good SX-70. (I picked up a $15 one step locally, but there's too much mechansim "in front" of the film exposure surface for it to work... but i think the SX-70 has nothing past the front of the film related to the rollers/developing of the photo... thoughts?
I've always wondered why my SLR 680 has a weird ugly gap right there where the lense plate was. Huh... if only there was someone I could pay money to torture by making them fix it and give the whole camera a face lift...

@@yorgle you'll need to scrap a camera. Do it to a model 3 maybe
