I think the only thing that was missing in Erika's edit was her relationship with Heather being set up at the tribal phase. Aside from that, It wasn't a surprise to see her winning the game, specially after Tiffany, Evvie and Shan going home back, to back, to back. For Mike... I really think the editors did this on purpose just to make that big shocking moment at final tribal. They gave us two blatantly decoy winners in Karla and Jesse, and they also gave us a pretty standart under the radar female winner edit to Cassidy. Therefore, in the finale episode I was pretty sure Cassidy was winning the season up until the third or fourth vote for Gabler come out and then not me but the other two finalists (and the majority of the audience as well) got blindsided by the final tribal vote. However, when we look his edit, his story was there, his relationships with Jesse, Cody and Sami was there...
I don't think I registered until watching this video just how many modern-era players assign themselves animal motifs (lamb/lion, owl/pigeon, fox, alli-gabler). I wonder what animals we're going to see in 44, lmao
The thing is, Gabler wanted to be underestimated. That's why he purposely did silly things like throw Cody's name when he had immunity. The edit suits him because that was his intention. That way he lowered his threat level while keeping a good social game, unlike Cassidy who was a gamebot in her own way. That doesn't make her much less of a favorite IMHO.

Personally, I like these unconventional edits. It’s like the editors saw international seasons (like Survivor SA) and took inspiration.
The music during 43 discussion 💀

There seems to be a pattern of animals that hide their true ability. Wouldn’t put it past them if we see someone call themselves a hippo or something
