Young bro, I took an exact copy of your white Samurai out in Maine back in '88. We went up a mountain, on the Inn Keeper's land we were staying at, and when we came back he asked if we had to stop and turn around at the creek. We replied, no. We told him we went to the top, where it does a cul-de-sac. He didn't believe us. The only way he ever got up there was with his small 4x4 Kubota tractor. Too many narrow passes to fit a JEEP. We had to take him with us all the way up. He was slack-jawed!! If driven properly, this little thing is a beast!!! NOTHING stock, at that price could ever touch that as an off roader. Slap some 31s, 3" lift, and laugh at everyone with their $60K rigs!! PLUS, you have manual lockers!! BONUS. No running the front gear when on the road. Dude, I wish car manufacturers would offer a simple, no frills, NO ELECTRONICS little 2020 Samurai...Think I'm gonna go and hunt for one. I miss mine like heck!
The green Sammi has wider and taller tires. Not only does this raise the final drive gear but it adds weight to the axle. Explains why the white one performed better. Good video.
Yeah, it definitely does. There is a lot of that concrete stuff out there that is fun to climb on in my other truck! I think by the end of this month the creek will be to high to cross in the Samurai though.
burkhart5150 Maybe we could turn it into a club run. We could do a clean up too. There is a lot of trash down there and a landfill/recycling center within a half mile.
I love them Its like a car version of a puppy. you will however use more sprinkler fluid than gasolin, you will need to find a bus to get a more flat window
if those samurais had locking diffs from the factory, theyd probably the best cheap stock offroaders on the market. got a sj410 myself, if it had difflocker, i probably could go anywhere. only got stuck once because of very nasty deep and soft clay, if i had difflockers i probably wouldnt have got stuck.
@@FortuneOffRoad I thought so when I seen the levees y'all were on that's what really made me ask!! Ok I'ma check out the fb group! I'm in Rio Linda btw.
Ouch! I can say I'm definitely not the best driver out there, but these little sammy's are hard to drive with low power and high gearing in the loose sand. We both picked these up from the previous owners that neglected them, and the tires on both were shot. Check out our newer videos to see if I suck still!
The samurai will go places that the Jeep never dreams of. You got stuck due to driver error as there are no electronic nannies in the Sami. Learn to drive it well and you will laugh at jeeps all day long.

Shakedown run coming up soon. Can't wait to take it on the Rubicon!
@Kevin Nelson Of course. Why would WE have a small performing 4 x 4??
I have a bone stock 1987 Samurai, video reminds me most of the forest roads in Flagstaff. Go slow and the Sami will get you through.
Flagstaff is awesome. I have njoy going through there. You're right, the Sami does get it done.
I currently live out here in flag, planning on getting a samurai soon and gettin outdoors
This came across my suggested videos…. Young Kyle is a trip 🤣🤘😎
@@CTMadModz no stache back then
Definitely something wrong with the green samurai. Most likely the driver!! 🤣🤣🤣
As long as you're having fun, right? Got to get him out again.

Definitely added leverage with that diameter. Anything over stock is immediately noticeable with these little engines!
look at her, she loves it!
The Samurai needs a good driver to live to its full potential.
That's for sure!
Looks like a cool spot. Has a little of everything

Fortune and Death I haven’t been there but have heard it can get pretty deep. We should get a few people from the club to do prairie city soon!

Fortune and Death that’s a good idea. You can bring it up in the next meeting.
Where is this? Would love to take my Sammy there! (We’re in Santa Cruz)

Are you guys around nor Cal? I have a bone stock 86 Sammy and don't know a single soul around with anything similar.
We are outside of Sacramento. Jump on the Samurai Facebook group. Tons of info on there!

The green one had a terrible choice of tires. The white one did OK. Neither driver had any idea how to actually drive one of these cars off road.

nice
I saw clean samurai body with no engine can any one tell what engine i can install on it with transfer case?
If you google "suzuki samurai engine swap" there should be a lot of info. Good luck! 👍🏻
@@FortuneOffRoad thank you
what size tires?
Stock tires, 205/70r15
Looks like the blue one has higher tire pressure
It probably did!
Which probably explains why it got stuck mire often.
they aint stock i can see that you put in difflocks
Both those Samurais are open in the differentials. The white one has a cage and some different seats but besides that they are stock. 🤙🏻

Change the driver and then I'll watch the whole video. Bye
I agree. Driver out 😂
You've got to start somewhere! You can't expect everyone to be an expert when they're just learning, right? 🤷🏼♂️
