Perish is such a good map to show as an example especially if people are unknown to BO1 Customs as well, GG man

You think there's any way to play custom maps without loading a mod? Because I've been having fun playing both RUST MW2 (the zombies map for BO1) and Nuketown, and I want to try them out with, Renaissance, Remix, or Reimagined.
You could try loading the renaissance mod for example first then opening the console command and typing Devmap_[insert name of custom map] and press enter to see if that loads both but to be honest I don’t think it’s possible unless there’s a way where you can insert the mod into a custom maps folder similar to how some mods work for say BO2 plutonium (if you’ve installed B02 mods before you’ll know what I mean)
That’s why BO3 is so superior because you can you can run all sorts of mods whilst playing on a custom map
What do i do if i havent installed game mod but the mod thing on the TV is there
i loaded the mod but when i went to choose my map there was no "custom maps" option
Great video Rapid, but I'd say two things
1) Make a copy of BO1 before, and put the BO1 mod and maps in. Cause some modes you need to replace some files.
2) Launching the mod directly, didn't work for me (if you mean straight up from the windows menu to the game).

Number 2 though I’m not sure what you mean? All you need to do is once you have extracted that game_mod application to show at the start of the video and put it into your main game directory. All you need to do is double click on the application within that folder and black ops one will automatically load up and from that point on you can select mods choose which map do you wanna play it will be top go back into zombies scroll across the Customs zombies and your map will be there

I just have a few questions:
1. Can I play that with somebody who has that mod too, when I start a private game?
2. Are there mods or possibilities to join modded servers or maps?
3. Is there a mod which allows other players to join a zombie game while it's working, or when I'm just in game before loading that map?
I'm going to put together a video explaining how to play custom zombies with friends on WAW, BO1, BO2 and then might as well add BO3 lol
To answer your questions now though
1. Both of you must have BO_MODS installed (Actually known as Game_mod, but the app you run is called BO_MODS) along with the custom map you wanna run, load it in via mods tab, click zombies, online and private, select your custom map and then invite your friend and your done
2. This option can be done when running plutonium by pressing F10 I believe to pull up the servers however when running the BO_MODS app you can only do this before game via following the steps in question 1
3. For BO1 as mentioned it's before before game so follow steps in question 1 and your all gucci 😏✅
so if i own bo1 and use my bo1 steam game for launching plutonium i should be able to play right? i see u stated previously it doesnt work without the official copy
Yeah official Bo1 copy from stream is needed if your wanting to play custom maps 👍🏼 even with the official copy you can’t run custom maps through plutonium that’s only possible through running the BO_MODS application which I have listed in the description 🙂

Are you 100% sure you have followed all steps as I showed? You need to make sure you have the BO_MODS application in order to run the maps & you need to own steam version of BO1

In order to run the custom maps on BO1 you do need official steam reason..please note custom maps cannot be played through plutonium that are only accessible via the BO_Mods application which is also linked in description below
Did all steps but wouldnt allow me launch the bo mods application when clicking on it. nothing pops up
And your game is 100% the steam version yeah? Remember it needs to be an official copy for it to work & all you need to do is extract or unzip the BO_Mods folder into your BO1 root directory then everything will link up

Hey man! Sorry to hear your having issues…I mean first of all I would not encourage you to try and run mods without using the official copy of B01 via Steam as the free version could be missing files, which could then lead to the error messages you’re experiencing!
I know it’s a bit of a pain considering how expensive black Ops 1 still is but just to avoid further issues down the line just buy it through steam rewatch this video and follow the instructions and then you should be good to go

how do i open bo1s files to extract the mods into it
You can do it through it steam but right click and click on open file directory (think it’s called that)
Or you can find the games application on your desktop or wherever you saved it, right click and from there click on Open Directory location or something like that 👍🏼 you’ll see what I mean
I have a problem becuse when i enable the mod and click zombies it keeps connecting and i don't know what to do
So you click into the mods section and you’ve loaded up the map and mod you wanna play right but you’re saying when you click into zombies you keep seeing a loading screen is that correct?
It’s a weird one because I’ve never come across this myself. Are you selecting online or you playing solo?
FOR ANYONE FINDING HAVING THIS ISSUE !!! I just found a fix: simply open the game through the BO_mods application, and BEFORE going to the mods tab, click on zombies, it might say no connection to cod servers but simply keep trying until it connects. Once connected, go back to main menu, enter the mods tab and launch your map. Once launched you should now have no issues connecting !!! I hope this helps someone

@@w4Try to play actual custom maps you need the official steam version yeah, if you put the BO_Mods launcher in plutonium files it won’t launch

Plutonium was letting people play custom maps without having to buy the game but it doesn’t work anymore

when i load a map the custom zombies tab still says no custom maps found
That shouldn’t be happening… as soon as you click into mods and then load the map when you click into that custom zombies tab the map should be there if it’s not then somethings gone wrong with the installation so you might need to reinstall it or worst case scenario there’s an issue with the map itself. Can I just ask which map you’re trying to install because I can do this on my set up and see if it works 🙂
@@RAPID_FUSIONZ i’ve tried Battery, Cheese Cube, and Perish. None of them show up after selecting them. i’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the maps, and the game
@@RemoveUA-camShorts something’s deffo gone wrong somewhere down the installing process as all these maps load fine for me…
Do you have an official copy of BO1 from steam yeah? You must use the official steam versions for mods to work properly 👀
The only other thing I suggest is legit start fresh and follow the steps again slowly there are only a few steps anyway to get it running so not sure what the issue seems to be

the bo_mods won't start for me.
Do you have the official steam version? You need to have that version in order for the BO_MODS app to launch correctly. If you do make sure once you've downloaded the Game_mods folder unzip it into your BO1 Steam root folder and done you should be able to load it up

same here, but i went into the folder and moved everything into the directory (not just the bo_mods) and it worked first time

Unfortunately not..Mods only work for PC only..Wish it did work for console players as it would increase the fan base even more but yeah sadly not
why cant we do this on plutonium
I don’t think the BO_Mods application works in Pluto so to get custom maps buying it through steam is the safest and best way to ensure everything goes smooth

bo1 custom zombies was never big. but why?
Only because not many people knew Bo1 had custom zombies I mean there are still people till this day who are only just finding out that maps like Perish, Kowloon, mansion of the undead etc actually exist and I’m one of those 👀
Similar to what CoolConnor said really I just think WaW and BO3 Customs where just so heavily active in terms of content wise which is why those games got so much coverage and only a certain amount of people actually knew Black Ops 1 had custom maps… like for me Personally, I always knew Maps existed on BO1 It was just the fact that I never had a PC so I was never able to actually play any of them sadly but as soon as I got my PC that was one of the first things I did

Do you have the official steam version? This is very important as the mod launcher won’t work unless you do…also is your mod launcher in the same Location as where mine is in the video?
