start going barefoot as much as possible. you'd be amazed at the amount of muscles and nerves you're not using. my balance has increased to even better than when I played DB in HS
if this seems unclear, our shoes have constricted our feet beyond belief. Our toes are like fingers they're supposed to be spaced out farther for a larger base
