My mother, who passed away in April, was from Jeollanamdo. Women from that region are famous for being good cooks, my mom was no exception. Of the the banchan (side dishes) you showed, she prepared us most of it, if she couldn't, it would be due to lack of ingredients (we live in Chile, so we don't have all the ingredients). Showing delicious korean food from Jeolla province has reminded me of her, how much I love her and her glorious cuisine. As usual, great job EyK crew! Thank you for this vid. I have followed you since your Korean Street food vids, haha. I even showed that vid to my mom at the time, she thought you were 'interesting foreigners', haha. Have a great day!
For some reason, there are some comments we can't respond to. There's no reply button. We want to answer all of your comments! I think you need to add us to Google Plus, or to let people not in your Google Plus circle answer your comments.
Love you guys. It makes my day seeing your videos. I think Martina would go crazy at a store called 'ArtBox'. I saw the store on another vlog and thought "Martina would love and go crazy in this store"
Some people comment/ask a question then disable the reply button to their comment/question. I know...it's stupid to ask a question then disable the reply button.
If it weren't for you two and how you introduce to us aspects of Korean culture I would have probably gone all my life knowing nothing of how awesome and interesting it is, fo real! You guys are awesome
this is the tradition edition about addition of dishes like on the Human Condition, filmed from EYK's own volition with the restaurant owners' permission! damn, that's satisfying to write. =D
Carla Clifford Korean food in general is healthy- aside from the very high sodium content. Just keep in mind, that in Korean dishes, you typically find very little meat, but it's very difficult to find vegetarian dishes. If that makes sense.
Lol I'm always blown away by how different and vast Korea is even when it's so small, it takes me four hours just to get from Houston to Dallas! Can't wait to move there!
Near Washington DC we have a Korean chain called I Love Honey Pig, that you choose a main course and there are some small side dishes brought to the table too. My favorite side dish is the steamed egg thing. So light, so fluffy.
I'm soo jealous... All those different side dishes... The flavours and textures... Not knowing what every dish is going to taste like... OMG 🙈 I want to go to Korea !
Whenever I see a video about Korean culture I always have a side dish of food ready because you know food related topics are always in those videos. Especially reality shows or yours truly eat your kimchi
I really like watching these videos about Korean cuisine because I haven't had a lot of experience with eating Korean food. I've only had bibimbap, kimbap, ddeokbokki and seaweed soup. It's sort of like a guide to Korean food and how to eat it (so I don't look like a noob).
Oh god, the side dishes. I remember our food mom on ulleong do, best side dishes ever, I miss that so much. Can't find a restaurant in the West that gets that. The restaurants here just serve the main courses, what's the point in that? And where're my sesame leaves for my barbecue? Damn you, gotta get back to Korea!
Simon and Martina, you guys are some of the coolest Kats in the world :D incredibly entertaining and inspiring, the REAL celebrities of the community!!
I think the beef patty was made with the Korean famous pear Apple. I saw how it was made on running man from one of their episodes of making traditional dishes with the most famous products of each city or providence.
I ate at a Korean restaurant recently near Atlanta. The owner looked at me and said, "Um, this is Korean." I was like, "yeah, I know. I'm hungry." I had a huge dish of chicken and vegetables and there were eight side dishes, I couldn't eat it all haha.
I discovered your channel on Friday which was good because since then I've done literally nothing but watch your videos all weekend not even remotely kidding. You guys are so much fun and informative and I love food so fapfap videos are totally my favorites. I study Japanese, not Korean so I wish there was a Japanese equivalent to you guys but such awesomeness is too unique. I so want to come visit Korea now and eat all the things
I'm waiting for some place that serves breakfast to open and this just made so much more hungry than I was before, and my stomach was already crying for food.
LOL I always forget how big California is. When they were saying "4 hours!!" I was thinking "That's a commute, not a road trip xD" haha. I totally would drive 4 hours for good food though. :D This place looks delicious!
Simon and Marta I just recently started watching you channel but I must say I love the f.a.p f.a.p and watching you guys react to food is funny cause I'm Korean XD anyways I hope you guys reach 1mil soon!
You guys are awesome I just spent 5days watching your videos on both channels (I also subscribed) :))) + I do not skip any advertising at your videos :D keep making me hungry with your f.a.p.f.a.p. videos, you guys rock!!
I have family in Jeollanamdo!! The 한정식 is excellent, I have to agree! My great aunt runs a restaurant in Jeollanamdo and I kind of hoped you guys had filmed there but no dice heh.
You guys should make a food map app of all the places you've been for people visiting Korea, so if they're not confident in fluently speaking Korean or ordering food can still enjoy it
The reason why is because I want to try out all the different kinds of food... But I live in Pennsylvania so the closest Korean store is like 2 hrs away. I also wanna be able to see kpop stars and such.
I thought this would satisfy my korean food craving but nope...I feel even more of it now XD you guys are lucky to live in korea and have unlimited access to all that awesome goodness!
I've eaten at several Korean restaurants to the point where I crave Korean food, like everyday - morning, lunch, late lunch, dinner, ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. I have food frustration. XD
the hard thing about not being a native english speaker is when you don't understand a word and having that issue on your mind until you translate. this video issue was eggplant, I only thought 'eggs have plants? how can an egg have a plant?' and then I saw the translation and realize that has no relation what's so ever ahahah. btw LOVE your videos, kiss EYKcrew from Portugal (can't believe that you guise came to Europe twice and never came to Portugal!)
Ok this seem a bit superficial and has nothing to do with the food, but MARTINA YOUR HAIR LOOKS AWESOME it makes your face look super thin and your neck so elegant omg I'm so trying it right now. I feel like you're besoming my style icon !! Thank you so much for being such an inspiration ! Looking at EYK videos is the highlight of my week, canadian university is hard OTL (yeah I'm discovering your country!) Loooova
I've just finished a 4,000 word essay and I was like 'how should I celebrate?....' BY WATCHING EYK'S LATEST VIDEO, THAT'S HOW! :P Ahh so much yummy food.
Woooowww!! Looks yummy!! I will be going to Korea next year May . Not sure will it still be cold there.. (it would be my first trip overseas for my whole 22 years of life) Me and my friends will be in Seoul for 2 weeks.. Have not planned any itinerary yet. . And I probably will use your channel as a guide for places to go to xD Can't wait!

I will someday go to korea and visit your coffee shop!! I mean i really really have been dreaming of going there!!
lol it is okay if you can't answer all the comments~ I love your FAPFAPings!!! :P
Dear Eat Your Kimchi , can you respond to my comments now? Yes? No? Okay.. Still love you guys.. ='3

That's so lovely for you to say. Thank you!
this is the tradition edition about addition of dishes like on the Human Condition, filmed from EYK's own volition with the restaurant owners' permission!

Thank you for watching! We've got a lot of videos coming out this weekend as well. Woohoo!
We're going to eat more Korean side dishes than humanly possible for this week's Food Adventure Program For Awesome People!

Annie Harover she did a few (:
Here's a name for you Simon (because you asked on the blogg post): Tradition by the Bajilion- Food Ed.
artsygal112 좋은경험 공감합니다. 한국음식이 맛있었나요?
Thank you to whoever made English subtitles! You rock!
Eat Your Kimchi puts so much effort into their work!! You guys are the best :DDD
Thank you for noticing! We're really trying to make these videos look better. I hope you and other people like them :D
could you make a video in which you speak korean like all the time ? love you guys
Mmm...I'm not sure that'll go over well. Most of the people watching these videos aren't in Korea :D
Eat Your Kimchi then you can make a translation track for the video and have it subtitled
Eat Your Kimchi You could speak in korean with english subtitles, like the videos Rachel and Jun do. ^^
Don't think that would go too well as a lot of people would start bitching about pronunciation and stuff.
Eat Your Kimchi you made a silent movie video....none of us were born in the before 1940
Irrelevant but Martina's hair is A+ super cute
That looked absolutely delicious! I'm vegan and I would love to try all those vegetable side dishes 😄
The meat wasn't even the best part of the meal, and I would have been fine skipping it altogether. The side dishes were glorious!
Eat Your Kimchi That's amazing 😊
A lot of Korean vegetable and bean/tofu dishes have animal products in them. Caveat.
krnpowr It looks healthy and delicious, give me food!
Carla Clifford Korean food in general is healthy- aside from the very high sodium content. Just keep in mind, that in Korean dishes, you typically find very little meat, but it's very difficult to find vegetarian dishes. If that makes sense.
Imagine how many bowl that restaurant has to wash
Machine wash hopefully. I’d die. Dishes are the worst chore.
There is only one Korean restaurant even remotely close to me so I'm over here drooling over all the food. Love you guys!
I FEEL SO FULL watching simon eat
Lol I'm always blown away by how different and vast Korea is even when it's so small, it takes me four hours just to get from Houston to Dallas! Can't wait to move there!
Thanks for bringing joy and smiles to my face every time I watch your videos 😊😊😊😊
Near Washington DC we have a Korean chain called I Love Honey Pig, that you choose a main course and there are some small side dishes brought to the table too. My favorite side dish is the steamed egg thing. So light, so fluffy.

You guys are the best. I also love how you guys take the time to read comments and respond. :)
I love Eat Your Kimchi. I always look forward to new videos :)

It's like every episode Martina gets cuuuuttttttteeeeer.. is that just me or?
Those saxaphone/trumpet solos in the music ha. Wow it all looks so fresh, so much though!
Watching these videos only makes me want to visit Korea more.
I really like watching these videos about Korean cuisine because I haven't had a lot of experience with eating Korean food. I've only had bibimbap, kimbap, ddeokbokki and seaweed soup. It's sort of like a guide to Korean food and how to eat it (so I don't look like a noob).

Just by watching your videos makes me want to live in Korea! Especially for the food lol
I love how Martina said :" a pickle that wants to grow up to become a real pickle but didn't really make it!" Hahaha love you Martina. 😆❤️
I ate at a Korean restaurant recently near Atlanta. The owner looked at me and said, "Um, this is Korean." I was like, "yeah, I know. I'm hungry." I had a huge dish of chicken and vegetables and there were eight side dishes, I couldn't eat it all haha.

Funny thing is, on my own I would probably never eat most of that but after watching then enjoy it and talk about it I want to eat it.
I've never even tasted korean food but somehow, you have made me crave it!
I'm waiting for some place that serves breakfast to open and this just made so much more hungry than I was before, and my stomach was already crying for food.
