I stumbled upon this excellent review and am reconsidering adding network radio capabilities to my 'arsenal.' This is an impressive unit. I thought about getting into network radios but spent my efforts, and money, on DMR. Question: should I use Zello or Team Speak?
Hi Philip. You seem to know about this stuff. Does a radio like this require a T-Mobile/ATT type account or does this work right out of the box? Also, what about communication when the crap hits the fan and government/infrastructure/everything falls apart and our phones no longer work? What’s the best way to communicate?
@@JimJepson I don't have a definitive answer for you. As I understand it, network radios require access to the internet, either through T-Mobile/ATT or via WiFi. If access to the internet is disrupted, these would not work. Best way to communicate? Getting your amateur radio (ham) license. So many different modes available and historically the go-to radio service in disasters. GMRS is another option, depending how much it's used in your area. It also requires a license but there is no testing. And the license covers your entire family.
Will it work on 5G or is there another model that does?

Elliott, Jr. I’m presuming the answer is No especially as it doesn’t work on 4G however I’m sure it’s only a matter of time when the firmware is upgraded to 4G. 5G is a completely different animal but as the GSM networks expands the frequency capabilities and of course upgrades antennas there will be full 5G coverage then the manufacturers will have to adapt or launch 5G capable devices. Of course what’s next 6G ?? How fast can it get lol 😂 I’m not sure if I really care about 5G as half the time I’m only using 2G 3G as 4G isn’t always available 🤔
Questions: What is the difference other than the names between Anysecu and Shaniax N60? What do you recommend and why over the other?
also, on my TM-7 the SOS button does not work on zello or anything nor can I program it. And the channel knob does nothing at all. The last issue is when I click the volume up or down just once and the volume will go all the way up or down instead of doing it in increments like it should.
I recently purchased one of these used. When ever I am in Zello and hit the PTT I get a message indicating that no account is set on this machine. I can't seem to figure out why this comes up. Sometimes it goes to Real PTT which I know nothing about and do not have an account for. Anyone know what the problem is? If anyone can send me an operating manual pdf it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Duante, Any chance to get in touch with the developers/engineers to fix the WiFI MAC address problem?
The MAC changes upon every powercycle. Very annoying for secure routers as you have to keep re-authorising the radio.

Where can we get the latest TM-8 Firmware to solve the microphone issues. I have already tried the one on the website and replaced the Mic element. It's better but not that great.
Paul Saldo after that you need to increase the mic volume from the engineer menu.
Duarte Braga I did this also. You mentioned in this video of a new firmware now shipping with the TM-8. Is this firmware any newer than the one from the website? I followed your step by step instructions on the website.

Never tried, but should be ok. Android 4.4.2 supports it, so...

Hi. No. No license required.
It's a network radio which means it uses the internet so push to talk. It doesn't broadcast over RF so no radio license required.

hello i have just bought this radio can you please tell me why i cant get the microphone to work on echolink. I have the tm7 and the ptt works great on the fist microphone but cant seem to get it to work at all on the anysecu zello also works great as well
