Fighting has decreased 10% this year.
Deslauriers isn't allowed to remove his visor, he entered the league one season too late.
There is no way this will be the norm anymore, unfortunately. It's also worth noting that scarps were a whole different breed back then. It was much more dynamic and wild. Most players fought at least occasionally.
@@puttinfoilinyourhat.6174 They can't. The rules have changed, you can't chuck the helmet anymore, it's a penalty so it's not feasible in practice.

@@LucicPowerI bet you don't realize how much respect enforcers have for each other. Only them know how stressful and dangerous that role is. Nowadays there's barely any enforcers left but in the heyday of hockey fights guys like Probert, Twist, Laraque and others had a ton of respect for each other. Maybe you didn't follow hockey back then?

@@LucicPower I could say the same about your opinion. Because hockey was more physical and violent back in the days you seem to think enforcers hated each other more than they do now. But if you read their interviews / biographies and pay attention to what they actually say you'd know that mutual respect has been there for at least 30-40 years. There was definitely more hate prior to the 80s when there were less teams and they would play against each other more often in the playoffs. But the enforcer role was much different back then. Guys like Stan Jonathan, Chris Nilan and John Ferguson played regular minutes (not 5 minutes a game like many of the modern enforcers) and staged fights weren't really a thing.

He hasnt had the belt in years. The guy struggles against guys like lowry. Macdermid took the belt from him years ago and then lucic reminded everyone why he has been champ for so long by dropping macdermid. Reaves has a lot of losses and draw and fights that he looked bad in in the last 4 years or so. Macdermid has one loss. And lucic has none. Now that lucic is gone, macdermid is still the guy to beat for reaves.
