My complements to the parents of these young ladies.. They all showed enthusiasm, understanding and were incredibly well spoken. They seem like they would be a joy to have around sitting around a fire at deer camp swapping stories with about the day's experiences.
As a fellow girl dad (12, 8, and 5), I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. You’ve got great kids and should be proud! I got to take my two oldest daughters deer hunting with me this year with my dad, it was a magical experience and we made life long memories. They loved every minute. Made dolls out of sticks and gave them names, had snacks, sang songs, found cool rocks, helped grandpa, etc. Also- good move not putting the girls on camera. Solid dad move.
Great to hear the kids so excited. My daughter and son and I are all hunting for the first time this year. This episode really makes me excited for it.
Fantastic episode. These young women represented hunting very well! Brought back lots of memories of youth hunts with my own daughter who is now in her 30’s. Time goes fast, spend as much of it as you can on those kids.
Very impressive group of young ladies. There are some very wise words coming from their lips. Their parents should be awfully proud, I hope to impart similar wisdom on my 3 children.
My oldest daughter is now 15 and has been hunting for 7 years with me. It's one of the greatest joys in my life to see her succeed in something that we both enjoy together. I watched her kill at 12 point buck this past weekend during Ohio's youth season at 20 yards. One of the proudest days in my life. Seeing her work hard, scout the land, prepare all her gear, be quiet and patient, pass on a small doe and, make the shot on a trophy, and even follow through with helping in the butchering process.
One of the best episodes, for many reasons. Great parents and mentors, great kids and well advanced for their years. They will be ready for what life brings their way
I have to say good job all my kids tried hunting only 2 got deer 1 stuck with it. It also cool to see have Janis and Steve weathered the education they were getting from the ladies. I hope you keep doing these as these young people grow as they continue to enjoy the outdoors. Good stuff.
Just took my 10 year old on a backpack hunt for white-tailed deer in southern Ohio. It was his first time participating in the youth gun weekend. He didnt get a deer. But we made a lot of memories.
By far my favorite podcast yet! You can really tell uncomfortable they are in their insights are spot on. I have taken 7 different younger siblings out view hunting through the years. ( Yes I know, big family.) After all these years I have come to the same conclusions you all had. Unfortunately deer hunting in Maine has a much lower successory. There is successes have been hard won! I really think squirrel hunting hunting is Important. Thanks for what you do and I do what the work. Also I would love for you to get a Northeastern Deer Hunter on the podcast. Someone like Rodney Elmer from Mountain Deer.
I love this episode. I was listening on my phone and was curious how you handled having the kids on camera. Great choice to not show them at all. Really appreciate the careful thoughtfulness of that decision.
Can't wait to get time to listen got a 4-year-old and a 3-year-old and a wife who's fighting me what time is right to bring them. Aimomg for this spring in a turkey blind for the them 5 yr old! Thanks for what you guys do!
Where we are my daughter is now old enough, I haven’t pushed hunting but she loves fishing, backpacking, etc. During the Olympics she asked questions about archery. We talked about it. Next thing I know she’s asking to get a set up she can go hunt elk with. Heck ya, now my wife can’t get mad, it’s coming from her lol.
GREAT PODCAST it's to bad the internet is a horrible place. It would be nice to see the expressions of the kids but totally understand why. AGAIN WAS AN AMAZING PODCAST.
Taking my four year old girl hunting for the first time in a few weeks. She's been begging to come along. Exciting to think about her enthusiasm growing as she gets to the age of these girls.
As a former child, I'm extremely impressed with how lucid these kids are 😂 When I was their age, I'm sure you would've been hard-pressed to get a coherent sentence out of me
Also just scrubbed through and saw that your girls are not shown on the video, which is commendable 👏🏼👏🏼 Great kids, great parents!! Y’all do the raw milk yet?!
Congrats to all those girls in being willing and courageous enough to try something outside of the normal insanity of today's plugged in generation. Learning skills that will help them succeed their entire lives.
I have four girls that don’t really care one way or another for hunting. Living in Utah and having to draw a tag doesn’t help with that either. It’s been three years since I’ve drawn one for a deer.
I suspect that people who 'push their kids too hard' just didn't start early enough. I felt like I had the most influence on my kids before they were 5 yrs old. You still have some influence after that, of course, but if you wait until they're 12 and then take them on a death march, you're going to turn them off.
I love hearing the start of their hunting experience. My 12yo son is in a similar stage, although he hasn’t connected with his first deer yet. We recorded his hunting and fishing trip here ua-cam.com/video/FaG-E5xmL5c/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/B0Iw1RHhF_o/v-deo.html . He also tagged along on my cow hunt ua-cam.com/video/VK3dPQVAP6E/v-deo.html .
Well look at the families they have and the connection to big hunters. Money, time and a ton of resources. Not trying to take anything away from them because they're awesome but just saying.
I hate to be the negative Nancy. But this is so discouraging to many youth hunters. Daddy has money and connections so they hunt private land and think it’s the real world of hunting. If this was done on public land with competition from other youth hunters then I apologize. It only gets harder from there kids. I am so happy they filled their tags because I know how I felt with my first deer. Please don’t raise them in a bubble.
Those girls are better hunters than most of us! Excellent episode. I wish i could see their expressions. But i get it, keep the kids off the web. But damn!
This podcast would’ve been much more relatable if the kids were actually visible to the audience. my two girls watched for like 5 minutes until they figured out the girls were hiding, then they declared this is lame.. and walked out.. I couldn’t disagree with that and shut it off..
They’re protecting their kids from the internet. I respect that. Also, videos with kids often gets the comment section disabled by UA-cam as a safety precaution. So that’s two amazing reasons to keep them off camera. Maybe consider that next time. :)
Steve's complaints about the hunter safety course being subjective remind me a lot of AP courses in high school. My teacher told us on day one that he wasn't going to teach us how to do calculus entirely because the focus of the class is to teach you how to pass the AP course.
Super impressed with how articulate these girls are! Great episode 🤙🏻
What a great show. These kids are awesome. - - “He can do it all.” - - That’s the view every Dad wishes their kid has of them.

This is a fantastic episode. Just look at these dads on screen.
So awesome!
Bring back meateater kids!! It inspired my son and daughter so much, we need more!!
Just got to that part, so excited for season 2!!!

Very enjoyable episode! The way Steve's daughter Rosie talks she sounds exactly like her mother. He's gonna have his hands full with that one.

This is one of the best episodes
So much joy from both the dads and kids. Watch Steve and Jannis enjoy them tell it!
One of the best shows yet.
Those kids are more mature and well spoken than half of my friends.
Great job parents! Awesome episode.
Loved this podcast!!! Loved hearing their excitement for their adventures. Great job Dads!!!
I soooooo enjoyed this love listening to these girls tell stories. How precious

Loved this episode. I hunt and I can't wait to take my daughter out with me!
Seems like well adjusted kids...thanks for the upload and quality content!
You guys inspired my daughter to go with me for Pronghorn next year. Thank you!
My favorite episode in a long time!
This may be my favourite all time episode!
I love this episode. I was listening on my phone and was curious how you handled having the kids on camera. Great choice to not show them at all. Really appreciate the careful thoughtfulness of that decision.

This was brilliant, mine are 8 and 4. I have learnt a heap about getting them out even more. Definitely need to get the sandwich approval 😂
LETS GO BEST PART OF MONDAY!!
Taking my four year old girl hunting for the first time in a few weeks. She's been begging to come along. Exciting to think about her enthusiasm growing as she gets to the age of these girls.
Awesome show guys love hearing the girls insights on hunting!!
the greatest show yet!
Janis working the mic cords pretty hard throughout... The ladies were extremely well spoken. Wonderful episode.
This was a great episode and perfectly timed. I am expecting my first child, a girl, on December 31st. Excited to one day get her out in the field!
As a former child, I'm extremely impressed with how lucid these kids are 😂
When I was their age, I'm sure you would've been hard-pressed to get a coherent sentence out of me
Fuck Steve, you're so good with kids. I love it. "You didn't just crawl out of camp" LOL
What a great podcast
Look at yani’s face. Proud as he could be.
Excited for this episode to be in our homeschool curriculum this week!!
Also just scrubbed through and saw that your girls are not shown on the video, which is commendable 👏🏼👏🏼 Great kids, great parents!! Y’all do the raw milk yet?!
They sound so mature for 10-12 year olds. My 7 year old boy sounds like a toddler in comparison
I’ve been hunting 20 years and hate cough drops I ll definitely be buying some jolly ranchers for this black powder season lol thanks for the tip 👍
Congrats to all those girls in being willing and courageous enough to try something outside of the normal insanity of today's plugged in generation. Learning skills that will help them succeed their entire lives.
Great show!! Love the stories from the girls, well when Steve lets them talk! 🤣

Cute kids, I have two young daughters myself, hope to get my 10 year old out after some squirrels next season
Cutiest episode ever❤❤😂
Real chatterboxes. Love it.
Haven't listened yet,but I'm sure Cal is not too happy with kids taking his animals.
Doug isn't happy eithrr

My daughter also likes skinning and butchering, even over the hunting...
Why'd you change the name of the podcast for youtube??🤔🤔
These young ladies would've been able to hunt shame me if we went to the same school 40 years ago. Way better than I was at their age.
Well look at the families they have and the connection to big hunters. Money, time and a ton of resources. Not trying to take anything away from them because they're awesome but just saying.
oh my god I’m SO GLAD they’re protecting them by not showing them. What. A. Relief.

Definitely NOT snowflakes… 😅

Hahahah nice way to obfuscate the real title
I feel sorry for yall... Women and their talking... 🙄🤣🤣🤣
You feel sorry for dads making memories with their daughters?
@VIi726 it's obvious sarcasm
