- Cheung Chau is an island 10 kilometres southwest of Hong Kong Island. Cheung Chau Island is one of the place for getaway, it is a sleepy little island only a Ferry ride away from Central Pier 5. Take either the slow (55 minutes) or fast boat (35 minutes), and marvel at this quaint little town, vibrant with street vendors, restaurants and beaches.
