Part 19: • Michael Jai White on J...
Part 1: • Michael Jai White Brea...
    --------
In this clip, Michael Jai White reacted to the Tupac rape case and what he thinks could’ve gone differently had Pac approached the situation with empathy for Ayanna Jackson. Despite Michael acknowledging that the rape case and subsequent prison stint altered the path of Pac’s life, he believes Pac’s ultimate transgression was not living his truth which came back to bite him in the end.

The saddest part about this whole thing is Pac's life is an example to all of us who love him or hate him on the importance of the decisions we make on a regular basis. Right or wrong, good or bad, they have consequences. The majority of the viewers after all of these years can't separate liking Pac from the bad choices he made that ultimately led to his demise. They continually make excuses for him because they are spiritually blind. Only a small number of people I see understand there is a deeper message behind everything that happened to Pac.

That’s hit me hard asf.. because me and a lot of other people are living lives full of lies, because we became who people want us to be or who think we must be and do for the approval and pleasing of other people or not nothing who you really are. It’s easy to say when you weren’t watched by the government sense you were a toddler, and was hated by ganstas, and rappers in the industry. Also setup by one of your best friends that you took care of him and his whole family. You have prisoners writing you letters ready to spark a revolution as soon as you call it, by the age of 21. Got a heart to protect another black brotha that was being harassed by crooked racist cops. You got the government wanting to ban hip hop because your message is too strong. You get accused of rape by a black sista whom you represented so well within your music. End up in prison for it, when you were innocent. PAC’s life was endanger way before the Vegas incident. Then people chalk your death up to a “gang killing”. Your intelligent observation can’t measure the heart of a MAN and GOD’S calling over a man’s life like PAC, and many others that was called. He was going to leave this earth early if you like it or not, and he knew it! He always spoke about it. It’s amazing to me that people want a 25 year old to conduct himself like a 50 year old. His mistakes was magnified for the world to see and judge. Your mistakes or faults are only visible to you and those closest to you, within the comfort of your circumference.

You are 100% correct. I am a Pac fan but Im not a Pac loyalist. Theres a huge difference. Pac made bad decision after bad decision which ultimately lead him to his demise. This is a truth as you eloquently stated that people are blinded by due their love and obsession with Pac. I was there for the whole 90's east/west saga, just a few years younger than Pac and Big and to this day sad about how both of these brothers unfortunately died at the hands of other brothers due to nothing but foolishness and lack of spirituality.

I will say it again : 2pac admitted himself on the MTV interview with Tabitha when he was younger he was withdrawn and different, writing poetry, calmer, etc. But think of it when you go through experience, hardships, moving different areas living in poverty, and his mother being addicted to crack. House full of drug addicts, alcoholics, murderers and even locked up family members. Then shit like that changes a person. Around the age of 19-20 is when Pac started being in the streets and realising he was a born thug and also died a thug. Every man from the age of 17-25 changes when you're going through a lot of shit you don't stay that same person. Pac said it himself, "My history, a man of many acts." Pac was just someone who changed constantly. Who knows what he would have been like if he lived longer.

My uncle was snoop dogs drummer and was around pac a lot, he said they caught pac doing some shit that if was out would change everyone’s view of him. And I’ll give you a hint, it was a reason why he let the other guys have sex with that girl and he left the room. Lol it might not be true but this is what my uncle told me and he has no reason to lie, but I always looked at pac as a confused kid that never had the chance to grow up or even live his truth.

Yeah, but once he got to Deathrow, he was doing too much. Snoop, Dre, the Dog Pound were in Deathrow way before him but they stayed in their lane. Doing music and that's it. Tupac got involved in the Piru Mob, which was a stupid move, even Mob James said it was. But I agree with you, he was young. If he'd survived I'm sure he would've realized that he needs to pump his brakes. Fun fact: If Tupac didn't get shot that night, he would've went back to jail because he was still on probation. They would've watch the tape of him punching Orlando and back to jail, just like Suge Knight.

yeah and there's a lesson to be learned here and that is you can't be something you are NOT. No matter how good you play the role, when it comes to this gangster shit, to this hood shit to this this thug shit you can't be acting out some character just because you are a very good actor. so good of an actor to where you have people believing your something that you are NOT. Cause the night 2pac tried his character that he was portraying on an actual real gangster, 2pac got dealt with that same night. 2pac played a game and played a role in a world that don't be playing games, he put on this act in a world that don't take lightly to any kind of acting. it was an all fun and games for 2pac playing up this role till he tried that punk fake shit on a real gangster and 2pac got dealt with that same night. A real thug would of already known what time it was and would of made it a point to stay low and not be out and about in the city you just did dirt in. A real thug would of gotten the fuck out of dodge knowing that he might get caught slipping for what he just did. But 2pac didn't really know what time it was simply because he was playing up a character, putting on a role, 2 pac was fronting big time and got himself killed. Lesson to be learned here is you can't be something you are not especially this thug shit, this hood shit this gangster shit, cause you will get got. This is to all you wannabees out there, you fakes know who you are. Stop wanting to be down especially if you are already 18 or older cause you already know better.

There’s a lot of insinuation and guessing on the part of Mr. White regarding Mr. Shakur. . He didn’t know Tupac in depth to speak on what was the truth or not. If someone met me in a relaxed, stress-free setting for an hour to play pool, versus a testosterone- filled night club after I’ve been shot several times and been to prison, they’d see two totally different ppl. It seems as though Mr. White has taken offense to the backlash he received from speaking on this same subject the last time and is trying to double down on his last statements. Most still won’t agree with his logic.

Okay.....he does make a very valid point. I think where he's going wrong is the wording of it. By saying Pac wasn't "living in his truth", it comes across as calling Pac fake or phony. From all the documentaries and interviews from those who knew 2Pac that I've seen, all that knew him very well have all said that Pac was pretty much Bishop BEFORE he was cast as Bishop. In fact, it was his audtion that landed him the role. Money B has always stated Pac was a short tempered, hot head at times before Juice had came out. I think Pac's downfall wasn't necessarily living his truth, because if you're gonna say that for him, then you have to say that for all rappers. All rappers have a "persona" that they create and stick to. It's not necessarily them in their day to day lives. Pac's downfall I feel was 3 things. Him being very young/naive, being around the wrong crowd, and his loyalty. You can tell from different stories of Pac and even threw some of his music that at his core, he was a good man. A very intelligent man for his age. And had he LIVED he would have reached his full potential. But that's one thing that I think Michael Jai and a couple others forget. He was only 25. In some ways, a lot of ways actually, still a child.

I was 2Pac‘s biggest thing when I was younger, but as I got older and more mature, I realized that 2Pac caused his own death. He was in character. He kept saying he’s not gonna live past 26 when I was young I used to think the same thing the thing about the girl in his hotel room is that he had to do that (kick her out) because if he didn’t do that, he probably would’ve died at Quad Studios instead of just getting shot, I understand the position he was in, but him being that I want to hang around gangsters and thugs guy( real gangsters and thugs) caused all that shit to happen. Biggie even told him why are you hanging around them, They ain’t nothing but trouble. If 2Pac went to that Tyson fight with one person instead of all those people on death row he wouldn’t have stepped to Orlando Anderson and he would still be alive
