There's a local shop in my area that sells RC cars, they have a TRAXX car that looks almost identical to the Hoonicorn car and it's like $900+ dollars plus tax, that's without doing anything to it, or replacing anything as they actually wear through tires and brakes, and require oil, some even require gas/race fuel. Cool ass hobby, but like any hobby it's expensive if you want to have nice things.

The lifts are so nerdy and I love absolutely everything about it. I'm hooked on this RC content, need more of it!! :D

Maaaannnnn you can easily get into this hobby for 450-500 and I’ve seen rtr models for 300 for a decent one and you can just get the other stuff here and there brushed models are also a lot cheaper
I’ve been in the hobby of rc for 8 years since I was 16 and I was more into bashing rc cars. First time seeing the video you made a year ago of Rc 2WD Drifting at SuperG was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. You guys were the one who got me into Rc 2WD Drifting in the first place. I got myself two of them. OEM 3Racing Sakura D4 and the Yokomo YD2-E RTR version. Keep up the awesome videos.
Word man I been into rc since like 1987 had everything from Blackfoot to yeti. Got into rc drifting around 2005 when stationed in Japan (it was AWD then). I'm still going hard in rc today, building a dakura D5 now.
@@RandomStuffGarage619 one my guys I know, he got himself one of those limited production run D5 chassis with all golden parts that came with the kit. I believe 3Racing only made like 47 of them. He got 12 out of 47.
I have a Sakura D4 with a 9 turn brushless set-up and it will drift on concrete with rubber tires, it's insane how fast that car is. I also have a Tamiya TRF414M2 that I can't find parts for so for right now it's a shelf queen. More into building bodies right now. I have a House Of Kolor metallic blue widebody Subaru BRZ, "The Stradman" metallic purple widebody MK5 Supra and I'm building Corey Hosford's "The Boss" S14 with the green and black livery.

When you find small scale you'll fall in love a little deeper. Now you don't need a much space to have a killer track. 24 scale models with kits on them just make em even cooler, windshield wipers, mirrors , and working lights and backfires in 24 scale.....whaaaat...... yea I'm hooked!

Those Bendpak mini lifts are so cool, I want one for no reason at all. Now Cleetus needs to get some Drag/Drift RC cars and roll with the boys.
Battery operated RC cars have come a long way since then, it's amazing!
I remembered around 20 years ago, I was playing with my mate's Tamiya rally car & nitro was the only way to go if you want a fast car.

@@cavemanvi I am not huge into drifting. I do more on road racing and buggy racing but top moded ones are at least $600.
Definitely fun but I had to give it up , too much money which equals less mods for my real cars lol

I’ve been into RC since I was little (so I know a lot of the stuff they’re talking about) and damn, they’ve got all the high end stuff in these cars.
Love it! Seeing Jon's sx3 when he first drove it pushed me to finish mine. Definitely a solid platform. Can't wait to visit and slide that course with you guys!

Great video ,Steve and Joey are the best thing to happen for rc drift in America . They have done SOOOOO much to support the rc drift community . Two very awesome guys . As you get better you'll find that keeping up is in driving technique also , not just traction . 👍👍👊

I cut my teeth doing electrical work and scratch building parts for my RC10 back in the 80's, and raced locally forever, until all the tracks shut down in the mid 90s. This gives me great joy.
Now you just need to scale it up to a full size electric drift build!

I’ve been rwd rc drifting now for 6 years. Your bags are dope. I rock one. I use a highly upgraded Yokomo/ds racing kamikaze yd2s that not many have seen, tuned to my perfection lol. I use a vortex d sanwa esc, has a rev limiter which I never use but it’s cool to use at car shows. I’ve spent to much to mention in my rc drift life. You guys are lucky, in south Florida our local drift track had to close, now I drift on a course I set up on my patio. You guys are right, to buy preupgraded chassis sue to hop up parts end up costing more in the long run. I’ve had every yd2 out there yd2ex,rx, but the Yd2S on super slippery floors with soft suspension and ds racing tires it’s a beast. You guys def got the right gear. Better radio then me, I use a sanwa mt4s due to the telemetry on my remote to where I can tune on the fly. Glad you chose the yd2s sx3 good good chassis. Mine is basically that but looks pretty nuts lol. Anyway thanks for bringing light to this hobby. Not many know about it or how to even get in it. Whenever I do a demo at a car meet I get so many questions. Some are wow I had no clue these things exist, or where can I get one, the downfall is no track in south Florida anymore. If you guys opened one in south Florida around west palm you’d do well. I know people who would travel from all over Florida to slide. North Florida has a huge scene but eastern south Florida I think it’s just me at this point lol. It kills me to have no one to tandom with. I for sure took the old track for granted. Much love keep sliding!

Loving the rc content! I recently got back into the hobby this year with my son ( hes 3 ) have since bought 4 more trucks and even my dad started and is up to 2 ans wanting any other. Mini rc carcaine is real lol
I loved this back when I was 12-15 when I didn't have a car to modify.
I always watched and searched everything RC, but I sadly couldn't afford to do it all in. Maybe I should get back into it at some point. Looks like the scene have become bigger and parts seems to be way cooler!

Pit bags are a necessity in the rc hobby. Theirs alot of spare parts hopups tools ect and being organized in anything you do in life is important. Nice Futaba's by the way! I own a 7pxr and it's by far the best radio out there to date.
