Game of life - synthesizer

This is a synthesizer based on the world famous algorithm invented by John Horton Conway, called 'Game Of Life'. It has 4 rules, they will be on at the bottom. The program is reading a selected row of the game of life simulation and plays it as a music sheet. With a midi controller you can change the rules of the simulation and other parameters.
1. Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies, as if caused by under-population.
2. Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on to the next generation.
3. Any live cell with more than three live neighbours dies, as if by overcrowding.
4. Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes a live cell, as if by reproduction.
