Hey a friend got a 71 for his birthday at 18 it was gold with a 383 he put cragers on it and glass packs and air shocks on the back it was beautiful don't know what ever did with it
My buddie back in high school bought this exact model for $300. The tires would melt and be splattered all over the quarterpanels. 440 six pack 3 speed auto. Dark Green on black w green Interior, vacuum control air scoop. Sadly once the engine was worn out it went to straight the scrapyard. At the time a car like that was just a gas hog and nobody thought there was anything special about it. The 68 69 chargers were the sought after ones.
I wish I had a duplicate of that absolute “REAL CAR GEM!!” That’s back when vehicle companies both knew how to, and, actually did “BUILD REAL CARS!!” Amen!
TIM. My question is about key lock / ignition ring. Only on manual transmissions ? I see it on your 1971 Chargers and GTXs...My 1971 Hemi Road Runner did not have any safety lock ring set up. My car was built in CANADA, (maple leaf on the door jamb).I saved ALOT of fuel at stop lights with Air Grabber. Salt n' pepper cloth inserts, TorRed high impact paint...roof strobe delete, but tail valence to tail lights stripes, hood pins, Strato air system...SMOOTH rocker panel trim... just wide enough for a CENTERLINE racing sticker. Car ended up in Palm Springs in late 1983.
So great this rare HemiCar went to a good home/caretaker. Thanks Tim!

I'm wondering how much this GOAT thing of beauty costs now.
$350-500
Priced to part some baby boomer with too much money to spend with his cash.
I just paid $65K for a total matching #s curious yellow auto 440 w/ 3:23 Sure-Grip. I’d say it’s a weak #2 condition😊
NICE!!!😍👍😁😎💙🇺🇸💪
The best year gtx. And 1 of 2. Yeah buddy

I have never seen a 1971 GTX in person. I had a friend who owned a 1970 GTX. He traded it for a new 1973 Vega. Do you think he regretted his decision?
One option missed was the pedal dress up.
awesome car! have you got any GTX 1970 440 six packs?
If Larry didnt order it I wonder what eccentric fella did?
He didn't order It. He bought It used ( Second owner )
Wanna know the red one next to it....prefer the white interior
What is it worth
What more could you ask for
I wonder if vin diesel has offered to buy this
Ford guy but Mopar or no car
My estimate is 600 thousand
Great car, nice vid, but very strong accent... Hard for me to understand, as I'm a guy, who learned Oxford-english at a german highschool... 😉
Nice car, too bad the color is butterscotch. I like the painted elastomeric eyebrow bumpers, however, I don't think they came on GTX's.
Unbelievable car great options horrible color.
