    Osaka pro bow. 37.5" 100% carbon. Great stick. I'm a defender and so i don't particularly try and use a lot of aerial skills, so i dont need the low bow. all im looking for is a stick that slaps it like a train and the 100% carbon does that. No problems throwing with the pro bow. My first Osaka, it wont be my last.

    LOL! I was doing a search for hockey sticks ... except, here in Canada, when you type or talk about "hockey" it is assumed you mean ICE hockey. In fact, I've never seen field hockey played in Canada nor do I know ANYONE who plays it! Even though I came across many Canadian YT videos for (ice) hockey sticks, I suppose I'll have to be a bit more exacting in what I'm asking for here in YT. As for "ice" hockey in South Africa (even though you do have a national team), I think the closest most of you will experience is roller hockey (i.e., rollerblading and hockey combined; this is a more common form of our ice hockey but in warmer climates.

      Hi Mia. Thanks for your message. We definitely think it is time to retire that old wooden Vijianti. The performance and durability on modern sticks will definitely benefit you. With regards to the brands you mentioned, remember that you need to decide on the size, bow shape and carbon composition that suits your budget, then see what options within these specs are available in each brand and then decide from those models.

    It didnt really help me personally. (Im 14 now and ive played fieldhockey now over a decade on a advanced level in germany) I really enjoyed playing with the tk platinum p2 but it sadly broke after 3 and a half years of playing. Im willing to ask if someone maybe knows a comparable model? Forgot to mention im the dragflicker and a very technicall player

    • @SportsRepublic
      @SportsRepublic  3 роки тому +2

      We recommend you go with 100% carbon so the stick will last longer and give you more power. As for bow shape, the lower the better for drag flicking. Either a low bow or a proto bow will suit your needs. If you want a stick that is great for drag flicking and dribbling we recommend the Osaka Pro Tour 100 Low Groove! Definitely the best for your playing style.

      Hey Rajveer, it all comes down to personal preference. Taller people tend to leads towards playing with a 37.5' it just gives you that extra inch over the 36.5'. It is always easier to cut a stick down so get the 37.5' and if it is too long for you you can request for the shop to cut it down an inch for you to a 36.5'. Hope that helps.
