Like i already said once i didnt know they came out with a new vmax i was racing the old 1200cc models and barely beating them but yes i do realize a new one could beat me i looked them up and yea 200hp thats got to be one mean ass bike.
should try it from a dead stop the max would have gapped the 14. the v monster is a beast out of the hole they're not big on mega high speed but you'll have your hands full in a quarter-mile from a dead stop especially if the guy you're racing already upgraded his clutch.

Apparently the B wasn't faster in the quarter mile than the max. Hard for the sport bikers to admit a 700 pound cruiser kicks their as**s. I will agree, with two closely matched bikes it almost always comes down to the riders. I have raced many sport bikes with my gen 1 on the highways and streets, including the H2, and have never lost. The H2 was right with me up to 135 until i shifted from 4th to 5th and he was already in 6th. It was game over!

Have they done something to the vmax in the last year or two to make it a second faster in a quarter cause at the local strip stock the usually run mid 11's and i have seen hyabusas and zx14's run low mid 9's no way a vmax stock is that fast.
@Tammy, are you crazy? The Kaw1400 is the only sportsbike out there that can beat the vmax in the 1/4 and thats a toss up. Do the research. The Kaw1400 spanks thet Busa in the 1/4, so does the Vmax. At 175hp and over 100 ftlb tq, an r6 doesn't stand a chance.

the old vmax runs mid to low 11s and has been clocked well over 160 mph....but the new vmax is 1700cc with 200 hp..and has been clocked at well over 180....and 9 sec 1/4 mile range.....so you have no idea wtf ur talking about .....old or new if ur on an r6 you better bring ur A-game against any v-max or you will be embarrassed ...by a cruiser.....and at the end of the day they are both yamahas duhhhh

Who ever said a busa can't out run a vmax your bad wrong I can outrun them on my yamaha r6 and a busa can blow me away. They only way a vmax outruns a busa is if something breaks.

I tell you some facts, a few weeks ago I ran my VMAX 276km/h without fairing or any other windbreaker and it was tearing my arms of well actually felt like that, but what other bike in the world can do that and it was still accelerating but I didnt dare more. Mine is not 100% original but no big things been done and I am one of the bigger guys to. You can never beat torque and the MAX generate more than 160Nm of pure torgue + around 190hp on the wheel.

Lytning Strykes yeah... no. VMax is a monster, but runs 11’s quarter, maybe MAYBE high 10’s. Busa and ZX14 will pull 9’s all day.
