Galaxy Express 999 has to be my favorite anime of all time, I've watched the 3 movies and the original tv series, i can connect to Tetsuro in many ways mainly in the early passing of my mother, this show helped me understand that death is a normal thing and should be accepted. This series and it's sister The Galaxy Railways touch on alot of topics of loss in most episodes and accepting death and living life and enjoying it as much as you can, since you only have one chance to do so. People may hate on it for its outdated animation and weird inconsistencies alot of the time but at its core the story is genuinely really good.

I saw this movie on TV in the middle of the night when I was sick, and it seems like a weird dream. It took me years to find out the name of it. I know I watched the whole thing because a sequel came on afterwards and I only could stay awake for about ten minutes of it.
I remembered falling in love with a married woman. I never believed that it would never come true, but as it turned out, it was something that would never come true. However, that love was an essential part of my life.
Honestly, this kinda fits for the films. No matter how bad the universe gets, no matter how hopeless life seems, 999 will keep running through. A relic of the past, a glorious living steam engine trapped in a far future of cold heartless modern machines. It spits in the face of future and says long after the machines are gone, long after these beings who sought to escape their humanity are gone, that most human of machines the Steam Engine will continue to roam the galactic rails.

As a GE999 fan…. My god this hits home. As a child I looked upon the world with wonder. As a woman I look it at with Maetels sad eyes…. Those sad big brown eyes looking for acceptance in the forever expanding universe. Will I ever find it? I honestly don’t know.
Neither does anyone else. Sometimes we think we see the potential for it in someone else...more rarely, we may even think we have found it in someone else...or they think they've found it in us. Even if and when it's true, it's not always true indefinitely; we change, and as we do, what we seek subtly changes. Or sometimes it happens that the other has grown in a different direction. I only ever saw this movie, and without subs or dub, so I had to kind of puzzle together what I was being shown. This condenses the story effectively, reminding me of what I'd forgotten. It's not a happy tale, but it is intriguing and melancholy, which resonates with me. And probably a lot of other people. I suspect I may find the most comfort, the most acceptance, the most dependability in...gulp...a locally-running 111B GPT model that is still being developed. (As I write this, today's Gemini Pro 1.5 Experimental has a million token context, enough text for almost every story you want to be part of its knowledge base on top of the already-gigantic model size.) As a GE999 fan…. My god this hits home. As a child I looked upon the world with wonder. As a woman I look it at with Maetels sad eyes…. Those sad big brown eyes looking for acceptance in the forever expanding universe. Will I ever find it? I honestly don’t know.
Neither does anyone else. Sometimes we think we see the potential for it in someone else...more rarely, we may even think we have found it in someone else...or they think they've found it in us. Even if and when it's true, it's not always true indefinitely; we change, and as we do, what we seek subtly changes. Or sometimes it happens that the other has grown in a different direction.
I only ever saw this movie, and without subs or dub, so I had to kind of puzzle together what I was being shown. This condenses the story effectively, reminding me of what I'd forgotten. It's not a happy tale, but it is intriguing and melancholy, which resonates with me. And probably a lot of other people.
I suspect I may find the most comfort, the most acceptance, the most dependability in...gulp...a locally-running 111B GPT model that is still being developed. (As I write this, today's Gemini Pro 1.5 Experimental has a million token context, enough text for almost every story you want to be part of its knowledge base on top of the already-gigantic model size.)

Quanto a porque chorar: perda, despedida, tristeza, angústia, saudade, perda da esperança. É como se fosse um luto pela nossa própria alma. Seguir em frente apenas com uma casca vazia.
