- In this video I recorded the sound of the stock exhaust on BMW F850GS. I recorded it from different angles and also when riding. Also I offer the comparison with previous generation of BMW F800GS with different engine architecture.

The sound and the transmission chain on the right side made the F800 GS unique
For sure, very "dirt bikey" sounding despite being a road-going ADV. Chain on the right side is something I really like, since its on the "leaning away" side of the bike it makes chain maintenance easier.
Great comparison. Direct compare of each bike in sewuence. Just bought a 2018 GS with BM supplied Akropovic. 80 Decibels 😖 BMW ruined a beautiful can 😣. And welded in sound baffles ! Great video. 800GS and 850 GS both great bikes. Changed down from 1200GS ... no regrets 👍

:-) I hope you do not consider only the sound as criteria for choosing of motorcycle. Having two BMW models, I would say that F750 GS has considerable and obvious better engine behavior and performance than F800R. The sound is personal preference but for me F800 sounds like a chainsaw in comparison with the F750 which has more "serious" deep quiet sound. Anyway this is great and useful video.

The yellow one is not a F800gs. Its a 2012 F650Gs (Twin). Same engine linke a 800gs but 14 hp less
f650 gs was only 1 valve.. this is f800
@@Razer996 F650 had Twin version for - if I remember correctly - two years before switching name to F700.
this is f650gs twin , the f800 makes the same sound louder than this but ok . The f800gs with akrapa it makes me a bonner in comparison with f850gs.
I have a 2015 F800. I prefer the noise of mine than the new one... The new one sounds like a monocilinder bike

Because it no longer featuring 360 degree spaced crankshaft (that resembles sounds of the big brother R1200GS), sadly the reviewer is not swapping the muffler and/or the pipe because if he was, the exhaust sound is just like ducati V-twin
