This recording was made during a live performance at the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires, in 1951 with Tullio Serafin conducting chorus, boy choir and orchestra of that theatre. Sr Rossi Lemeni, an outstanding interpreter of the title part, was in his vocal prime.
