I 100% agree with the thoughts on the Black Glasses in VCI, however, the one thing I like about them being regular, transparent glasses in this version is that it matches up with the glasses she's actually wearing in the FMV Cutscene in the original TR Chronicles, which is a nice touch. Loved the vid! So happy to be seeing so many other fans excited for and loving AoD!!!

@BeynTV it's such a surreal feeling. It's impossible to put into words!
Btw they didn't remove the ladder to force you to go to the new area.
You can still go through the usual path, but instead of climbing the ladder, you climb on top of the ACs.
That's how it was in the beta and they restored it
I saw and realised that after! That does make a lot more sense 🤪
I'm not preordering the game just because I want to pay full price-Aspyr deserves every penny for this. The love and respect they’ve shown to all Tomb Raider fans is incredible, and I can't thank them enough.
I'm also thinking about creating a giveaway to buy a copy of the game for a fan who can't afford it. I just need to figure out the best way to do that and how to send the game to fans outside my Steam region, since I know Steam has some restrictions on gift cards and gifting.
If anyone has a great idea for a simple giveaway setup, let me know! I just want Aspyr to sell as many copies as possible because this is beyond amazing. I'm in Canada

I’ve never been able to experience it so I’m super excited! Makes me wonder what else they’re sneaking into AoD 👀
@@BeynTV you should check out @reborninshadows video called “Tomb Raider AOD - Parisian Backstreets
13/01/2003 Beta [WIP]” to see what I’m talking about! I believe his goal was to combined the apartment level along with the training area because I believe that’s what it was intended to be, one big level. The reason why I believe this is because in the new video TR posted you can see the AC unit replaced the ladder which was a feature from the original training that he re added into AOD and he hasn’t been active for a while which has us believe he’s been recruited to work on AOD. He also added the Castle Kriegler stair case into the game although not sure if he had a goal of possibly building it based on what Murti shared on his site about the level. My personal hope is that some how with the Cappadocia and Castle Kriegler assets that were shared they possibly built the levels with Richard Morton help and had Jonell & Eric record some stuff for it and possibly use Kurtis powers and skills in those levels. My other hope is that they were able to obtain the first level made for AOD2 from Richard Morton and added it as a bonus lol. to have that first AOD2 level that was made and be able to play it would be sick!
It's about bloody time too, that area (If accessed unoficially) actually teaches you a lot more maneuvers. The regular climb just annoys you with the boring RPG strength mechanics.. GOD that was a frikkin stupid idea.
I really hope we get to access Lara's dual pistols in AoD! I remember playing it back on PS2, and was so disappointed that she didn't have her pistols. I actually thought I might not have properly looked for them in the first levels of the game!

The whole walk off a ledge will be usefull as heck!... In TR 4 Lara still couldn't flip forward out of a crawlspace, so having to tank turn that wench around first for the sake of safety dropping out of a crawl hole was a frikkin tedious nightmare... If this works while Lara is crouched, that would BE SO WICKED! This issue started in TR 3 and wasn't fixed until Chronicles, making above ground crawlspaces the most boring place to be in the game.
Just finished TR 1 remastered and Unfinished Business. LOVED every moment...
Not gonna lie. i am not looking forward to excessive hitscan gunner human enemies in TR 2... Almost thinking of skipping that game because VENICE annoyed the hell out of me when I was a kid. Chronicles will be fun to revisit though. It was my first ever TR game.
The training area was fun.
The horror themed Ireland level was AMAZEBALLS.
I just hope they fixed game breaking bugs in the Von Croy Skyscraper.. I never finished that one.... Fingers crossed they improved the Stealth mechanics there.. Using the inventory screen as a weapon is DUUUMB! Just make chloroform rags an equippable item and action button press for takedown instead.
