I get ya have the character here and it’s what brought us all here. But the genuine family man that just loves cooking and taking care of your community is what I see. Your a good dude! Hope ya have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with ya family and friends! Good stuff my man! Good stuff!
As someone who grew up in South eating oysters and now living where hot n spicy is king these recipes speak to me. Nicely done simple and no frills. Money dood.
I didnt know about the beating the rocks off. Looks like you guys got a big haul. Came out looking really good too, especially in them boats. Was fun to watch. Great video
Yup. You will get a ticket in NC if you don't practice this. It helps to keep the oyster beds populated as they will regrow into new oysters. Pretty neat stuff. Have a nice day. 👍
Yum! It looked cold out there where y'all were catching the oysters, but y'all were working hard separating the oysters from the rocks so y'all didn't seem to notice it much. Hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving...we already know the dinner will be great!
Grew up as Yankee in Minnesota. We only got oyster stew on Christmas Eve after candle light service church. Always pickled herring as well. Sometimes we had smelt. The anchovies of the Great Lakes.
I remember tonging oysters with my grandpa...or watching him rather, while I sat there freezing cold. My job was culling them with a culling iron like you're doing. I still love em raw!!
I grew up and spent the vast majority of my life in the Rocky Mountain West (Salt Lake City, Utah) just about 4 years I relocated to Lowcountry in South Carolina, and absolutely love fresh and raw local oysters. Now I know Lowcountry is nothing like the Bayou, but I love this type of weather, culture, food... everything about the south
You’re an inspiration to new UA-camrs. I only have 990 subscribers. I hope to have that many like you one day. You’re certainly a character. Definite over come bring camera shy.
How are you doing dude? I know you get a lot of messages and you might glance at this. I love your channel and what you do. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy it with plenty of family. Have a great year dude!
I love the cooking vids. I love the alligator hunting vids. How about some vids on how you run your farm regardless of its size. Show us the real story on all the chores you have to do. A lot of young guys want out of the city and need to know what is in store for them in that lifestyle.
My guy stalekraker has me in Colorado wanting to try some of this amazing food he cooks. Talk about living off the land. Keep it up brother. Give me a shout if you are ever up this way. Would like to kick it with you!!
When I was a kid my mom would drive down to Cameron and buy a bag of oysters. She would sit under our camp and shuck them. She would shuck one into a bucket and the next one eat. Always grossed me out as a kid. 😂
Dude, I can smell that... Smell-O-Vision be making my jaws twanging... my mama made cornbread dressing with fresh oysters for the holidays... la meilleure
I hope u leave the Highway Patrol(I was Army so I have pride for my country) but u did ur time and we would rather see u do more videos and become successful on here and out there teaching us cool shit.
Speaking of oysters in the south, ive heard that you can only harvest them during cold weather months, because of some type of bacteria. Since relocating to Lowcountry in South Carolina, Oyster Roasts are only done during winter months. Growing up in Utah, I could get raw oysters year round, but obviously imported, from who knows where.
Where I come up from the Northwest Florida by West Bay a bag of oysters was on everybody's table during Thanksgiving. Oystering is Big there in West Bay and North Bay so a lot of times it was those hand-picked cup oysters along with beer and all the other Thanksgiving foods deep fried turkey if you're lucky
When I was in high school we used to go into oyster beds drunk and pull them up by by hand. Arms would get so cut up but damn we enjoyed a ton of them.
Here in Florida, on the eastern inter coastal island, we can just strap some wide pieces of wood to our boots and pick whole bucket fulls straight out of the salt marsh

Cold water oysters are the best! Extra salty if it's been dry for a little while.

Pretty good deal I thought you was going to leave the Oysters out of your FIYA🔥DUDE, the way you left the Okra out of your Gumbo 🤪
