This is the last thing we need. It's so sad. That's probably why the last police commissioner left. The people of Baltimore are going to suffer if they can't get in step. Somebody is being disingenuous.
Why do people in politics communicate through social media?
We know the Mayor doesn’t want to change public safety. If he did, he wouldn’t be using criminals as “safe street” reps. It’s ridiculous. He wouldn’t give money to his baby mama. It’s ridiculous. He’s arrogant, doesn’t have the rage and is stealing money. Let’s call a thing a thing!!

As a council president, Brandon defunded the police in 2020 by over 18 million. Look it up….

It’s crazy every time somebody says something about him not doing his job he acts like it’s the first time of him hearing it he’s one of them people who lie believes their own lies and he also always says the same thing every crime scene when something bad is happening he says the same thing instead of taking care of the problem they need to be pushing the Maryland lawmakers changing the juvenile laws instead of locking these kids up 20 to 30 times a piece and then you hear about the kids that have the UPS house arrest bracelet on her ankle and they still go out at night and steal cars with a house arrest ankle monitor on their leg now who’s not doing their job at the juvenile center making sure these kids are where they’re supposed to be now if they were adults they would not be leaving the house on house arrest that’s a third-degree escape charge I looked it up if you’re charged with third-degree escape you can’t have house arrest anymore so it seems like to me they’re doing it on purpose 🖕🖕🖕🖕Brandon Scott that’s how he heels about the people from Baltimore their safety so that’s how I feel about him a little girl getting shot the other day in Mondawmin mall parking lot because the kids fighting and shooting one another Brandon Scott he said they’re gonna find them real quick they probably will because they’re going to do their job on this one because it was a little girl just like when it happened of the Patterson high school they found it that person quick when they want to do their job they know how to do it that shows you right there watch how fast it takes them to find that person who shot a little girl. 👮🏾👮🏼👮♂️👮♀️🚔🏍🚓🚓🏍🚔
What Brandon Scott has been doing for almost 4 years as it relates to crime has not worked. He wants 4 more years to keep the same failed criminal justice reform policies in place. Ivan Bates is at least willing to try a different approach so as to try and curb criminal behavior. Works for me. Too bad somebody else (a Republican) isn't running against Scott instead of Sheila Dixon though. It's really a no win situation, so just move if you can.

There’s nothing anyone can tell me about crime in Baltimore city.Im in every part of the city everyday and our police department does not have enough officers on the streets to enforce that citation docket.

Maybe Ivan Bates should run for Mayor. What do you have to lose? It's insanity to do things the same way and expect a different outcome. After four years in office, has violent crime gone down? If there is one homicide, the answer is NO. One less paying taxpayer means someone has to pick up the loss. I know, raise the taxes, that works. And crime and homicides continue. DUH!!

Putting the dispute between them to the side, I think that the citation docket is a bad idea and will do more harm than good, agitating people who aren’t harming anyone else or damaging or stealing anyone else’s property. I know that they say that this citation docket isn’t creating a criminal record but it will when someone fails to show up to court for example. I have an issue with criminal laws that are for anything except harming someone’s person or property, so if this is just a paternalistic opportunity to express city leaders’ power and authority for no real benefit in terms of protecting people’s safety and property, I would oppose it on those grounds alone.
