- GOLF CLEAT SOFT SPIKE REMOVAL RCTWINS
This video shows how to remove golf spikes or soft spikes from the souls of your golf shoes, Mine are FootJoy, Callaway and New Balance, I tried all the normal tools with no joy. Who knew a simple screw driver would pry them right out! The cleats are softer than the pockets, so no damage occurs to the pocket. I love remote control aircraft and golf, for rc airplanes take a look at www.rctwins.com - Спорт
OMG! They literally pop right out with minimal effort. Thanks for the tip! 🎉
Thank you! I was going crazy trying to get these out! Your hack worked great.
Great tip, and thanks for making this video. Helped immensely. For super stuck one that won't pop out with screwdriver, raise the little tabs of the rings enough to grab with pliers and clamp won then twist off.
Thanks! I thought I was going crazy.
Your method worked when nothing else did. THANK YOU! 👍👍👍
that actually worked on 5 of 6 spikes. eventually used pliers on the sixth one after prying it up all around. thanks so much.
A life saver and the easiet and simple solution. Genius, thank so much!
This worked great, thanks so much, I tried the other method with pliers and side snips and this was the best. Thanks again for this video.
I cannot express my thanks for this tip enough….greatly aggravated is a misnomer. Lots of swear words before I found this video..thanks so much for sharing it!
Awesome video!! Soooooo glad I watched this before going and digging out the drill
Great video, it was taking me a very long time to get them out even with the tool. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Thanks
I bought the tool and tried unsuccessfully for 20 minutes. Grabbed the screwdriver and popped one out in under a minute. Thanks for sharing this
This worked great!.. I just did a pair of Adidas shoes where all the spikes were frozen. Most of the spikes popped out like the video shows but I had several where the plastic post on the spike broke leaving the bottom of the post stuck in the hole. Using a small flat screwdriver, I pried these out with the same technique shown in the video. All came out and I replaced all the spikes with new ones made for Adidas shoes. Thanks for sharing this video!
Thanks!! Big time and knuckle saver!
Worked GREAT! The only way to do it.
Thank you so much. This tip works like a charm !
Man. This was a lifesaver!!
It really worked, thank you!
Thanks! Perfect advice.
Thanks, this worked much better for me. Cleat ripper was doing nothing. Screwdriver pops them right out
Brilliant easy peasy , great tip which I will share with my buddies
You are the man! this was the best tip of the week for me! Just use the damn screwdriver!
Thx u - worked like a charm on Adidas adizero!
Fantastic tip, spent an hour trying to get those ******* out with the tool they sell ya, too much dirt to even get the prongs into the holes BUT using this tip i done it in 5 mins.
Thanks! You saved my foot joys
This does work. Came in here looking for additional tips.
Great tip ! Thank You !!
Fantastic!
That saved me much trouble! Thanks
Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you x 1000
OMG 알려주셔서 감사합니다~!!
this works easily: fill a pan larger than the shoes with hot or very warm water about an inch, enough to cover the spikes but not the rims around the golf shoes. Set the shoes in the water, and wait about 15 minutes. The caked dirt fused to the spikes threads should soften sufficiently to use your spike removal tool to untwist the spikes.
Thanks!! These are very frustrating little boogers!
This was my 3rd video to try. Took a little muscle but got them all off using this method!
Alternatively you could just run the soles under some hot water, combined with a stiff bristle brush has the added bonus of clean shoes afterwards.
thank you, save my shoes...!
thank you; save me
"Fast twist" my ass! I thought I would never get the two off that were stuck. This took very little effort. Thank you!
That's gonna work
Me too!
My problem is that the Fast Twist recesses are all loose between the interlayers of the sole of the shoes. You have difficulty removing the cleats because the housings rotate with the cleat. Similar when you you screw them back in.
I've tried an adhesive called Stormsure which is great for most shoe repairs where flexibility and waterproofness needs to be maintained but it doesn't work with torsion. I dribbled the glue around the edges of the Fast Twist housings and let it cure. When I tried to screw the cleats back, even only starting them by hand and a quarter turn to secure, the adhesive failed.
I'm looking for a Plan B.
If anyone can come up with anything I'd be interested.
I found that this works and it was by accident!! 😂😂
God damn I wish I had seen this sooner. Spent a good 30 minutes pushing as hard as I could with that stupid tool before seeing this
Forgot to mention that before you do this make sure it’s not a Soft spike but threaded type.
Spent half a day trying to twist these buggers off, tried ur method. 15 mins there all off.. ta very much.
Didn’t work on champ spikes. Still searching
An opinion. Golf went to shit when soft spikes came in. Does Tiger Woods have soft spikes? LOL
Dear FootJoy and other top US major brands, I expect better engineering than this poorly designed low quality soft spikes that are difficult to remove and replace, specially with dirt, without massing with screw driver and drill.
