Man!!! I'm in heaven!!! I can't believe I haven't come across this unique "Bluegrass Meets Rap" type of band which I've never heard in my entire adult life until now & had the good fortune to enjoy. Props to each & every one of you. "Peace" coming from an 'ole "Southern Belle" that even @ 74 years old, I spend more time searching for music or genre compilation on the "Net" than most teenagers!! LOL
Growing up in the south of the 60s, I was "taught" to stay away from Hillbilly and N***r music, rock 'n roll too. Fortunate for me the lesson didn't take and I so much enjoy seeing how these two music genres have joined together to put a smile on my face and a tear in my eye for the joy it brings.
"Reaching back in time to touch those who came before me. So they know that their sacrafices weren't in vain." Words are so true. Reminds me of the back-breaking hard work my family did so that I could have better life. Respect.
What I like about UA-cam is the ability to find new music through things I like. Using their stellar theme to Justified to get here was totally worth the click. I love the original hymn, it is one of my favorites, and the flow of the rap is incredible in how it weaves into the bluegrass music. I will probably listen to this about a thousand more times.
okay omg, as if finally hearing gangstagrass hit those chorus notes, and now I rewatch this again and just noticed cinder blocks on stage... I am damn sold hahahah!! \m/
I am the father son the father of all things and the carcle is unbroken I love you brother's and sister's now I said some one step forward and give the world free clean energy

jribolla Gangstagrass, they've been around for several years. R-Son is thefirst MC, Doolio the second, and Landry McMeans with the beautiful dobro, beautiful voice, and beautiful looks. The guy in the plaid shirt on guitar is Rench, who is the founder. If you've not seen it, check out the TV Series "Justified". They did the them song, ":Long, Hard Times to Come". Combining the two purest forms of American music -- bluegrass and hip-hop. They are absolutely terrific!
Had a llot of fun with jake flying over the boat with beer hitting me in the head i wish i could go back. I would do different. Im to pooped to pop. For pop that was my grandfathers saying
Like the music. The woman vocalist/steel guitar is a plus for the band! The rap - ruins the group. If ya gonna rap, do it 'with the music' not against it or separate. If you're going to rap be original - do something against the grain - like rhyme with the music - not segregate it putting the music in the background - be part of the music. Of course this is merely a personal opinion, and I do not care for rap as rap is ghetto poetry and not music. Y'all need a Hurdy Gurdy in the group and possibly a didgeridoo. Am sure the rappers could play the didgeridoo, not a complicated instrument and you can rap vocally through the didgeridoo while making he vocals. Give it a try, break NEW ground. Good tunes minus the rap.
First of all, I (like others) like Gangstagrass as they are. Secondly, you said "Am sure the rappers could play the didgeridoo, not a complicated instrument.......". What is it that you are saying here? Whatever it is, it seems messed up.
This band is SO underrated 💜
Bluegrass, rap, country, gospel....what a gorgeous, unique combination!

Didgeridoo you say...? So it would be Folk/bluegrass/rap/Australiana. No i don't think so. I'm Australian and i think this is brilliant as is
