How did they discover that Max is such a good comic actor? Cos he really is. Same with Joel. They're both genuinely funny.

They really stepped up as sidekicks once Andy left

Conan really has a knack for rooting out a character. Real or scripted.

Max always made me laugh so hard when I was a kid.

@@Filminformer1984 Definitely. He's got a nose for funny, quirky people. But also I think he just attracts those kind of people in the first place, because of who he is and how much those kind of people gravitate to his sensibility and then want to work for/with him. So it's not surprising that he keeps discovering these hilarious, strange, fascinating and talented people.
I sometimes wonder what would've happened if Karl Pilkington had worked at NBC on Conan's show in the early noughties, instead of on XFM...

Late Night had such a great charm about it. I miss those days. I had just graduated high school around the time that this aired. It's pretty surreal watching these clips. It takes me right back to that time.

Mee too, my friend. Your story reminds me of my highschool days. I used to stay up all night with my older cousin watching Late Night with Conan and he really helped shaped my sense of humor and understanding of comedy.

Can't help but notice that the Stump Max Weinberg theme is the same music used as the theme for Andy's daytime talk show Andi.

I always wanted to drum half as good as max! hell, even a quarter! I would study max's moves every night on tv and run to my room and try and do what i saw him do, If i could even remember what it was, by the time i made it to my room! Never did sound anywhere near what i heard on Conan. I do play a 5 piece, but no excuses!

I miss Max. And La Bamba. I understand why Max left, but Conan should never have let go of the band.

If they want to follow Conan, they have to move away with their families which is not cost efficient.

After answering the last question, Max should have asked 'Why did I have to be blindfolded for that?'😂😂😂
