This was my first PAXU and it was pretty incredible. I was there primarily playtesting both of my games at Unpub - and I’m way in the background at 5:16 doing just that 😂 Glad you had a blast!
@@agoatgruff oh that’s awesome you could find yourself in the video! I wish I had more time to playtest games in the unpub area, but I was glad to see it so full. Hopefully you got lots of good feedback. Thanks for watching 🙌
Sounds like Ravensburger needs a few more folks to demo games so they don't wear out their designers! :-) I'm glad you have a good time. It was great to see so many people enjoying games together.
Well the ironic thing about the weather in Philly is that the week of pax it had JUST started to get really cold. Up until that week we were getting temperatures in the 50s to 60s.
I'm from Michigan, and I'm right there with you re: the cold- I, too, have paid my Cold Dues, and am ready to be Done With Winter Forever. Kudos to Ravensburger for supplying covid tests to their volunteers! Looks like a great time! I variously worked at and attended GenCon for 20+ years, but between the pandemic and rising prices, my megacon days are over, I think. I'll stick to the smaller local events that don't involve so much travel and overhead. But sometimes I do miss the hugh jass con halls and their bright colors and cheerful noise.
@@NevTheDeranged yeah big cons are not my favourite! I prefer my local, small-ish con. But it is cool to be part of the larger ones from time to time. Thanks for watching! 🙌
@@mrpiratedancer4rrr yes it sounds right up your alley! 😆 It’s by designer Emily Vincent who also did Knitting Circle so I bet it is awesome! Thanks for watching 🙌
Awesome recap! Hope your pitches went well. How many hours each day did you work the booth? I also split my weekend between booth and pitches but found myself wishing I had more time to walk the floor.
@@HotSauceTurtle I worked 8 hours each day 😅 It was a lot. I think 4 hours of demoing might be my max and I might try to do that moving forward. Like you, I wish I had more time to walk around and check out other things!

So jelly! I'll take the cold, looks so fun! Thanks for letting us live vicariously through the lens of your life.

@@Demishadow23 aw man, really?? Ugh that’s too bad! And yeah I noticed on the Monday after PAX it started to get warmer too 🤦♀️
I have yet to go to a convention. So looking forward to that day, though. Loved watching it through your eyes. Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Larry! Maybe we can play a game irl at a con one day 🙌
