  • Buying replacement parts can be painful on the wallet, but it's possible to save a LOT of money if you shop smart. Follow along as I do a little retail sleuthing!
I was able to save thousands when buying replacement parts for my Genie 5519 by doing a little detective work. Hopefully some of these tricks can be useful to others, and can help you save big $$$ too!
Some links to the retailers I mentioned (I am in no way affiliated with these stores, and received no sponsorship for these links):

www.boltdepot.com - Nut and Bolt Hardware
    www.digikey.com - Electronic Supply
www.tmsequip.com - Site I use for finding Retail Prices to compare to.

So cool. Thought you were crazy when I saw the first episode as a fellow genie 5519 owner.
Such valuable information though. I’ll keep these resources in mind when mine needs repairs. Well done.

Liking your channel-I like the genie build. Can you do a video on maintaining the bobcat. The CAT purchased turned out well I was a little concerned when you first bought the unit.

Thank you! Yes, I’m just starting on the excavator and I have a video about an A300.

Good video! Lets see the finished product!
I tried The place you recommended and they weren’t cheaper atleast for what I was looking for at the time. But having multiple places to look is great.
Gciron was a great place for parts for me.

I just need more time to edit videos! I am sorry they didn’t come in cheaper, but I had the same experience with them on bobcat parts. The Genie parts were much better though.

@@MakersAcres it’s all good! Maybe next time they will! I still have some oddball parts to buy for mine so they will get a chance again.

Great project and content. I'm surprised not to see more subscribers. I am working on an older MEC scissor lift project and stumbled on your channel. Would love to understand the financials on this project upon completion - do you plan to sell for profit, or keep it and utilize on the ranch?

Thank you! That’s kind of why I stalled out on making more videos. For some reason I can’t get the algorithm to like my channel and I have put so much time into it. It really makes me feel defeated.
Spoiler, I do have the unit together and working now, I’m just way behind on videos. The last video in this series, I planned on showing the entire financial break down.
I am just using it around the ranch and I really like having it, so the plan is to keep it.

Red powder coat on a blue genie? 🤔
Looking forward to next video. I've done just like you. Google manufacturer part numbers. Search for a identical machine nearby for sale or rent. Go take lots of pictures of the parts.

Fantastic, I’m glad I’m not the only one! Ya, most of the red parts are for the engine and the other visible ones are for the forks. I never understood why they always go black for the forks. It makes them hard to see and dangerous in low light!
