    One small correction; Mile High Club is indeed having intercourse while traveling in a plane. Maybe these days it has something to do with drugs on a plane, but the older, more established use is indeed the former. It's first google sidebar definition on a search levels of established, for what that's worth.
    That all said, I have no doubt covering these darker topics takes a toll on the mind and the soul. I also like taking a drive while listening to some music now and then, for no more reason than to calm my mind and get myself back in order to move forward with life. I'm glad you bring this to attention. I often wonder what impact social media and the pursuit of likes has done to people, and how many people who act deplorably would have done that if there were no social media. Of course there have always been people who abuses people or otherwise show antisocial behaviour, but I feel social media and the pursuit of likes, views etc. has made it easier for people to cross boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. And that goes both for content creators and content consumers. It's almost if people don't think that what happens online affects other people; that things that happen on camera is less real than things off camera.

    • @hugohemra7074
      @hugohemra7074 Рік тому +5

      It's an interesting and very controversial dilemma I always questioned since I've been on the Internet. I've always had this thing about how many of the people who tied themselves to such activities could acquire. It can be positive, such as being able to do things that you'd be too afraid to do alone, even if it's not necessarily dangerous from oneself. You get a sense of security or confidence with viewers watching your content, pushing you just a little more to try new things. Unfortunately, as we've seen way too many times, it can and most likely will be negative, where your boundaries are pushed so far that you're crossing a line that shouldn't ever be stepped on in the first place. Such actions could lead to big consequences, which severely impacts you and the people around you for a lifetime. I think what social media has done is inherently unleash confidence through the goal of gaining clout and popularity, which we've all seen how good and bad this can lead throughout history depending on who's asking. In the end though, it's not the fault of the program, but it's us as humans. We can get influenced, but we are the main cause of all of this happening, the prior motivation only serving as an additional purpose. We shouldn't be focusing on social medias itself, but instead ask ourselves "what the fuck are we doing" and bettering ourselves, which I know for a fact it's easier said than done, I'm talking from experience, but I prefer attempts over whining in the hopes that we can make this place a better and more suited location for others.

      internet has not made humans worse, it has simply emboldens the already destructive properties of a small part of humanity and due to being shared so much it makes the small seem bigger than it actually is.. also humans have always been worse when they think there's no consequences ("give a man a mask and he'll show you his true face") - many people online have this belief they can never be caught or punished (due to VPNs etc proudly proclaiming "can never be traced" etc) but the moment they are caught you see how humans have not changed as they cry and beg for forgiveness.. easy to act like a sociopath, not easy to brush off consequences as a sociopath would.

    Never underestimate the depravity of some people out there. What’s scarier is the few people that actually stand up against stuff like that guy does; you would think more people would go against that type of behavior. I think obviously evil has always existed, but today it’s just a lot easier to see it happening all over the world even in real time. Unfortunately, there’s enough other evil people out there to subscribe to that garbage…so much that in some sense it’s being normalized, which is scariest of all.

      I couldn't agree more. I was talking to someone the other day who was upset that it seemed like the world was getting worse and worse. And she might have been right to some degree. But I think this stuff has always been around, and in most cases, it was far worse in the past. Social media hit us hard and fast. I mean it's good that more of this stuff gets exposed, but it is definitely disheartening when you see it so often and can lead to a general apathy. I don't know what the best approach to take is.
      I mean it seems like the types of people who get together and demand some kind of retribution are either pushing their own brand of weirdness, or at best they think actually forming some kind of protest on the internet is an effective means of change when in reality the noise they make just gets lost or drown out by the already louder nonsense. And then since people these days seem to feel like they always need to pick either one side or the other, instead of judging each action from a more midline position, they defend things that I don't think they themselves even understand why they're defending. It's like tribalism that's seemingly a product of the fast paced nature of social media. I wish people would slow down and think for a spell about these things before throwing their hats in, then never removing them.

      @randomvideoboy1 I am not a fan here nor I do share the views of this channel’s host and those dire hard followers. I’m an old fart and have seen what the darkness and evil really looks like in this world…been around this planet enough to see too much that is way worse than what he shared. Most can’t stomach what really happens and don’t want to know just how much evil does go on, unchecked by law and even protected as sacred if ever challenged. Without an ounce of humanity or conscience, there’s people out there that will make you disappear if you challenge them or what they’re doing. There really is another world veiled and completely underground among us, but most will never see it but will fear and run if they do. There’s no borders or boundaries. The only way this underworld can be crushed is by God…that’s how intertwined and connected it is across the world. It’s vehemently atrocious the crap that is going on and truly sad that there are too few with a guts and balls to do anything to curb it even just a little. It’s easier for governments to ignore it, and that’s what they do if they aren’t part of it. But no worries…most people live like sheep and are all too happy to just worry about their tiny little lives. Giving to charities and fighting little crusades against things that are but atoms compared to the real crimes and evils happening right under their noses sometimes in plain site. As a society we’ve become complacent and too accepting of immoralities, and things like identity politics and other taboos are working to normalize down right evil. People are just too dumb to see the bigger picture or what the real agendas are. You can judge me or call me what you will. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, an evangelist, or a politician. I’m just someone who has seen too much in many dark places. I’m just exposing reality here. If you don’t want to believe a word I’ve said that’s fine…they are only too happy that you ignore and forget…don’t stray too far away from the flock, right?

      *nods* you have to be very careful my friend. There are some things that you don’t want in there if you are a normal person. I did work years ago now that delt with some of this stuff too. I’m pretty grounded & can compartmentalise. I have a decent amount of training too. Every now and then when I’m "cold" not expecting to see or hear about certain things and I do. The stories and media it was my job to catalog for evidence will come back.
      It’s not that the acts happened. It’s that nobody cared. There is a system of such poverty & desperation out there in the world that death & worse is almost accepted. part of me is glad we have an island of innocents in the 1st world. Because nobody is better for knowing this stuff. It doesn’t work like that. I just wish we had an island of innocents because there was NO stuff to know! 🙏🏻

    You know, it would be amazing if we could figure this shit out... why people fall into these dark holes where they do this deplorable shit. If it really is mental health issues and depression and anxiety and all these things we identify and branch out into different disorders and illnesses, why aren't we rising up and doing something to fix it? Why can't we communicate properly anymore? Why do things feel so divided and disassociated? ...Like I have ideas and speculations but it's never really clear to me.
    I feel such high hopes sometimes that we can all connect, but they get shut down so fast by the reality around me. I know I'm not the only person that feels this shit either, idk if I'm right or wrong about certain things but I know there's a constant looming dread. Whether I'm part of that equation or not is irrelevant, I don't want people to suffer no matter who you are. Things are done for a reason and I think everyone just needs some help and connection in their life and maybe we wouldn't have to deal with horrible ill acts and mentalities. I'm not saying sympathize with these actions, but we need to figure this shit out as a whole species so it stops happening y'know?

    • @Orpheus063
      @Orpheus063 Рік тому +5

      Truth is the fundamental of all communication, without established truth between us we can't even agree on terms let alone start using them. The dissolution is purposeful, don't believe the lies of the world. The world is evil, a place of material and materialism. People so concerned with the flesh and the symbol, as opposed to the spirit and the meaning. Big differences most people don't even stop to realize for one second of their pathetic waste of a life. Even if you could see the truth, there's no guarantee the truth is something desirable or conducive to what you say. Seeing the truth in a world that recognizes truth is smart. Seeing truth in a world that rejects it, forces you to either reject yourself or reject the world and doom yourself in its eyes. There is no fence to be found here.

    • @tequilaog420
      @tequilaog420 Рік тому +3

      @@Orpheus063 I appreciate your input, I can only wish things get better and we learn to be more honest with each other. I feel we've created a societal structure that forces certain levels of truth within to be hidden behind layers of lies, manipulation, and shame, and obviously there's varying levels to that. That's why I don't sympathize with shitty disgusting behavior, but it clearly happens for reasons and I think we should all work to improve in some way to prevent more of these things from happening. But who knows, I still have things to educate myself about I'm just putting out my view!

    • @Orpheus063
      @Orpheus063 Рік тому +1

      @@tequilaog420 Mental disorder is simply the inability or unwillingness to accept the truth of reality, as that's literally the definition of insanity. There is indeed a problem of communication and division, but really in my opinion it's a problem of people not knowing the self. Claiming the identity IS the self, thinking they can dictate what and who that is. To a degree yes, but no. You can't just decide, you have to make it happen. The material is the lowest realm, but it is the most fungible and "real" in the moment to moment, day to day. It's what we live in and we have the biological need for survival, economic materialist principals outline this perfectly, how scarcity and abundance are core to social cohesion and even biological growth or death. Apply business to it, you're either growing or dying. So the final question becomes, does the fox cry because its food source has dried up and its unfair? Or does it cry because it's hungry?
      Now add sentience to the fox and let it know its food source is drying up because of their own countryman's actions. Civil war's a brewing.
      Also thanks for the reply, glad you're learning and admitting you don't know. That's called humility, the thing you need to be able to see truth and eventually the truth of truth.

      too tired to give a lengthy or detailed response but uhh... "The Beast shall rise up out of the sea" was never literal in Revelations. It was making reference to a wicked way of living life that arises throughout all of humanity across the globe. What you and all of us are witnessing are the frothing waters as The Beast rises from within us collectively. If you aren't religious... well I'd say it's at least worth some quiet investigation on your end to see how much adds up to you when compared to how things are going for us as a people.

    I feel this.
    Honestly.
    Truly.
    I had started to think maybe there was something wrong with me.
    Sexual Assault is something I have always been extremely sensitive about.
    I don’t know why.
    It just really messes me up inside hearing about it…
    But it’s nice to see someone that feels similarly to how I do about it.
    I feel like a lot of people don’t take it seriously enough.
    It’s almost like they are numb to it.
    It’s probably the worst thing you can do to a person.
    It will affect them for the rest of their life in ways we cannot even imagine.
    Sometimes I wish I could forget the things I learned too.
    It gives me nightmares sometimes too…
    If I could choose something to erase from my memory forever, it would be the stories I have heard from my ex, my sisters, and a few of my friends…..
    The knowledge I once thought I wanted changed me forever and it isn’t easy to carry the burden.
    But I can never forget.
    I feel like I can never move on from how it makes me feel knowing what kinds of terrible things people have had to experience in their lives.
    It hurts me like nothing else.
    It really does…
