For real ^ I think the big picture is that drum machines are often some sound shaping with a larger focus on the sequencer functionality. The drum/percussion synth world is way more focused on the sound shaping with the sequencer varying a lot from machine to machine. Robust sound sculpting and modulation plus a sequencer is a recipe for some exciting stuff.
@@AntonAnru I've heard it called a percussive synthesizer. It can make many different type of percussive sounds and much more as well. Personally I like the more Acid sounding sounds.
Finally got my EDGE to go with my CRAVE. Only have had it a week and been trying to wrap my head around it. It's just a different kind of Synth/DFAM Clone. I have been programming and working with Synthesizers since 1971 when I first got my hands on an ARP 2500 and then my own 2600 in 1972 along with a Mini Moog. I've either owned or worked with almost every Synth you can think of, so I usually know my way around them but the Edge is just a different ergonomically and User Interface machine, so watching and listening to your Patch Demos and seeing all of the detail you're including I decided to buy it right now. This will give me a good jump start and take the Edge (pun intended) out of figuring out this fun but odd little beast. Thanks for creating this even for us experienced Synth people.
THANK YOU, Anton, for another AMAZING set of INSPIRING/INSPIRED & INCREDIBLE sounding patches demonstrating how much one can get out’ve these devices if one uses some of the vast collection that you’ve EXPERTLY crafted for us “newbies” (as well as for someone who’s been working with synth design for years, really) BRAVO!
Thank you. I've really enjoyed just listening through these patch samples. This has definitely sold me on getting the Crave, Edge and your patch packs to help get me started. So far I've just been messing about with Volcas, which have limited potential to work together beyond sequencing. For me the ability to patch these synths together is the best thing about them, but very few demos actually show off the possibilities. I would also be interested in hearing the Crave/Edge patched with the TD-3-MO for more acid techno/trance sounds. I will check out the rest of your videos.
sharing is careing..... Thanks a lot, Sir! Your sound-designs are awsome and I apreciate every turning of knobs you put into it. You`re my hero of today.
These tones and rhythms are really enticing me to acquire both machines. They sound great for industrial type beats. I've never tried proper semi-modular synths, but this could be my first time. It looks like tons of fun patching randomly to see what you can produce.
@@NunyaB1s Yeah, that's what is missing in my setup, the sonic exploration of modular synths; the thing is, I'm scared I'll get to 0 on my bank account if I try full modular. Luckily, there's lots of semi-modular synths to go by. Have you tried the Neutron?
@@x10dc90 The Neutron is on my list, it has the prophet-5 oscillators and a unique filter. It's a no-brainer. We live in a golden age, back in the 90s when I started this, modular synths were very much a rich collector's game. My first semimodular was (is) the PWM Malevolent. I have a handful of others. I lack space though, so I have to be very strategic and can't afford a full wall of kit. If time and money is a genuine concern, consider picking up an analog four mk1. It's like having four modulars but you can score those for super cheap. (I got mine for $540) Otherwise, I plan on getting the neutron and I have a small rack of modules setting up waiting for a Spectrophon to pair with a neuron. Also, I have alot of love for my 0-coast. If you want modular experimentation but with digital control and sounds, take a peek at the MegaFM. (Check the blush response review of just about anything I just mentioned, he writes industrial and so does the best reviews of that kit.)
Waiting on the edge now. Almost here. This is insanely good!!! Oh the crave is ready here. Dam !!! Got me checking tracking. Well freakin done. Just plain good jammin.. Brap on!

I bought the crave patches you made, there incredible & really helped with learning the crave. I’ve just bought the edge. Do I purchase your edge patches or this crave & edge patch pack, does this pack already include crave patches I bought? Thanks for any help 😃
hello, thank you for the support. this pack is different. it's not two individual soundset, but one - where the two synths are combined and create unique patches/patterns
Great sounds and music, thank you very much. If money is not an issue, would you recommend the Moog Studio combo instead of the Behringer one ? Thinking about buying some semi modular staff.
You are the BEST, i will buy your patches, im thinking getting the crave for my edge, what about the sevuencer? Could the crave dominate the edge? Because is 32 and edge 16. Thanks! Do you know another semimodular that could be patched with the edge. Thanks for this videos

I don't know how experienced you are in modular. If you know these synths well as individuals, then you can think in direction: how edge can expand crave features. And visa versa. I always think like this
Can you tell us more about the pads you have added underneath, just curious, and I noticed you have the usb cable in the Edge is this the same with the Crave, and what's the purpose here is this for computer recording midi over usb? Thanks heaps for this demo.
Hello, I'm not the poster of the video but the pads you are most likely hearing are the result of using a 'shimmer' type reverb. That is a very popular and somewhat newish type of algorithm that introduces new harmonics amongst other things. The USB cable is most likely used for midi synchronisation to a computer as audio is not transferred over USB with these devices. Nor are midi cc values outputted as it's a mostly analog device. Hope that helps.
📚 Get the soundset: bit.ly/3QMw5M2
Do they include an explanation of the sequencer patterns as well?
It includes Crave patterns, that can be uploaded to the synth. Edge - only manually, according to the pictures
Thanks. Going to get this soon!
Just bought it... looking great!! Really nice, well organized and complete set 👍
