In my previous vlogs, I shared with you my experience on how to apply for British citizenship. From those videos, I realised that there were some important questions that need to be answered and shared to fellow applicants. Here, I answered some of the most frequently asked questions about British citizenship application.
I have split my videos by topic. This is the first of the videos that I will be making . Next videos to follow will be about (1) Document Required and Submission Process; (2) Referee Declaration Form and Biometric Appointment; and (3) other relevant FAQs. Watch out for those videos.

I have been British for long time around 19 years lol
My partner had his passport recently. After naturalisation. We applied a few days later for British passport which took around a month to arrive. It could have taken less time but due to his second nationallithy passport being expired we had to apply for his passport renewal which took around 2 week to get that. As soon as we sent that info to British passport office they approved the application

Hi. After you got your British Passport how long you wait before you can re-acquire your Phil Passport. Is there a time requirement before you can re-apply for Phil passport?

The question I want to ask is what name did you put in your application? My husband is a British citizen and we got married recently. I am applying by myself and was wondering what name and status do I need to put in the application, before the marriage as Miss and my original surname or Mrs with my husband surname?
Hello. I put my name that was in my current passport. That time I’ve already changed my name to my husband’s surname.

Just subscribe to your UA-cam Chanel, I’m about to apply for my citizenship and the issue is my referees, One of them should be professional and the profession should be listed on the home office guidelines, Unfortunately, I have no friends or anyone who got a profession listed on the HO guidelines! Download few apps and practice all the time. Don't bother with the book. It's a waste of money
For Naturalisation, When I upload documents at UKVcas, am I need to put at least one document for each category, even that catagory is not essential for me. like 'medical information or 'proof of business'. somebody said to me to put at list a picture to fill up this category. if any category is remained empty, UkVcas does not upload the file. another question is - am I need to send proof of address for 3/5 years? your video is very helpful. please answer by a comment to let me know as I need the answer urgent.
You don’t need to upload anything on categories that don’t apply to you. Please see my other video showing this - ua-cam.com/video/Xou8q7uexYM/v-deo.html
You need to provide evidence of residence in the UK for 3/5 years. I’ve provided my passport. Some people provided P60, letter from employer etc.

How long dose the passport processing take ? It’s been 3 weeks for me it has been approved yet ?
Hello. The government website says that it may take up to 10 weeks to get a passport. I would suggest to continue waiting. Have you been tracking your application? If it says that they’ve received your documents, it means they are still working on the case and all we could do is wait. If you are worried, you can try to contact them. Their contact details are in the gov.uk website.
When you send pdf copies of your passport do you need to scan every single page of your passport or just the front one? Thank you
Yes I scanned every single page. Even the empty ones.

Yes. I also scanned all the pages of my husband’s passport.
hi there, after getting your British passport sent to you, how long did it take to get your B. Citizenship certificate and your old passport back as you have mentioned that it came separately.
Hello. I got mine on the same day I got my passport. You can track your documents as well using the PEX number in TNT tracking website.

Hello. You should name the file with the appropriate file name (e.g. passport - your name) and put a description in the box (could be the same as the file name you used). Keep it simple and easy to understand.
