Construction of a Road And Driving 1950-1969 Film

This 16mm film, a work print, provides a brief look at different construction sites along RT. 13 in Dover, Delaware. It shows 1950s and 1960s Cars, road construction, foundation for a road being laid, machinery to help lay the foundation, road material being dumped and then paved, a "Pin Puller", soil testing, roads from the perspective of the driver, highways, and road construction from perspective of Driver, Dover, Legislative Hall, Farmland, and a railroad crossing.
Note: The original film has no audio so we added in background music. We also raised the brightness a small amount so it can be better seen on different screens. You can view the untouched film at the Delaware Public Archives.
