Watching a young monfils play like this hurts. So much potential to be a consistent top 10 player and contend for major titles and play in big matches. Instead, we have a highlight reel of great shots and great moments, but an empty trophy cabinet. He will always be remembered among being a great showman, as one of the great what-ifs of our sport.
He is one of the most frustrating players to watch, along side to Dimitrov, cause they are not lazy, but their lack of Focus Made them always fell short on Big tournaments, and they are allergic to strategy

If monfils kept this aggressive play style, he would have had 5 Slams
