Hello - I have the same model Toro Wheel Horse 16.38hxl ridier. Have had it for maybe 20 years. However, I have a question I'm hoping maybe you can help me with. When I'm done cutting the yard, I usually tip the mower on its side to clean under the deck. The last time I did that, a small, straight steel rod fell out from between the deck and the upper body. It is four and a half inches long, and three sixteenths inches in diameter. Would you have any idea what this steel rod is, and where it goes? Thank you kindly for any information you could provide. John
I took a look at the parts page (www.toro.com/en/parts/partdetails?id=26660) and couldn't find anything that matched your description. Maybe you'll have better luck?
@@fumblebork Thank you for the link to the manual. The only part I found that was close to a steel rod was part number: 88-5510, Rod - Parking Brake. I just don't know what the size of that part is so I could compare it to what I have. Thanks again. I appreciate the help.
