We humans are a strange lot... What an epic, admirable, nightmarish, beautiful, torturous, rewarding, challenging event all wrapped into one. Massive congrats Sion - you're a beast for getting through that, and Tashy you're a support crew angel. And to the editor, bellissimo!!
Thanks for putting this together and sharing! I finished UTMB in 2022 and this brings back a lot of wonderful memories (the first aid station, the 'light tunnel' after Les Cont, the excessively sunny bit before Cour, etc. -- and of course the finish). It was particularly insightful to hear from your crew. I had a wonderful crew/family support... who were kind enough not to share with me the challenges they undoubtedly faced while racing around the mountain. Words cannot express the appreciation I felt for their support - or the added joy they brought to the moment when they crossed the finish line with me. Congratulations on a wonderful achievement! That feeling of accomplishment doesn't go away (at least it hasn't for me yet).
You are unbelievably incredible. I was having a shitty head space day today and having just watched this, I feel motivated, empowered, inspired. Never underestimate your achievements. Simply amazing. And Tashy, the best wife and friend anyone could wish for. Enjoy your down time together 😘🫶🏼
Congratulations on finishing such an epic challenge- and I mean that for both the crewing and racing! 😂 Having a supportive partner is worth it's weight in gold. My husband crews my ultras, but I don't think he'd be up for the crowds and chaos of something like this. Headed over to see what other videos you guys might have!
Thank you so much 😁 you couldn't be more spot on about having a supportive partner and I'm sure if you wanted to, your husband would deal with these crowds 😁 Appreciate you checking out our channel, we have only just started (4weeks ago) posting consistent content 😁
It was a little 🥹 We paid an extra €50 for a precise tracker (forgot to mention that) so I could see exactly where Sion was standing but the generic race tracker, you are 100% right, jumps around like crazy.
Wow, what an experience! Thank you for sharing the behind the scenes and what it takes for the crew as well, that's not seen enough and it's also a tough job.
I think I am going to make it ❤️YER you DID wow unbelievable so proud of you And Tash you were our life line from start to finish so proud of you both now enjoy your down time love you both ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jump in the lottery for sure! I spoke to people who got in with 3 stones on their first try (rare) and others who had tried 6 years in a row we ith 15+ stones 😲
Hey Cody, I made a video where I mentioned my qualification if you want to have a watch, ua-cam.com/video/ixTpjYROby4/v-deo.html I did UTA100km & UTK 100 Miler which are both races in Australia.
Oh boy that crewing experience looked horrid, you are lucky to have someone willing to do that for you. Probably helped that she had no idea what she signed up for before it was too late to back out of it I guess. 😂 Congratulations on the finish! I guess the running bit wasn't smooth sailing either.
Thank you for sharing the experience for a non-elite runner at such a monumental event with soooo many runners
@@Papa_baer_andreas it's a different experience for us non-elite that's for sure.
Only if I could run faster lol 🤦

What a roller coaster of emotions ❤
That was one BIGGGG rollercoaster
This is BIG very BIG as BIG as it gets, well done mate. The English dictionary does not have sufficient words to describe your effort.
Thank you Dushy. Appreciate it mate ♥️

I feel like I had to go into “crew training” before this event. A very hard yet unique experience ❤
The crew deserve so much more recognition along with the absolute angel volunteers ♥️♥️♥️
Appreciate the comment. Thank you.

You made me think of making it in 2025/6, lottery permitting:) Awesome, very human-centric footage, thanks both!

@@sondervail yep, you never know. I got 7 stones so fingers crossed:)

Great vid, congrats! 🎉
What belt are you using?
Hey mate, thank you ♥️ no belt here. I'm wearing T8 Ultras. They are shorts with built in pole holders.
Well done
Thank you so much mate. Appreciate the comment.
Nice job dude
Thank you so much. Appreciate the message ♥️
Congrats on finishing what looked like a crazy experience. How did you qualify for UTMB?

I am lucky in SO many ways to have Tashi 😁 thank you for commenting ♥️
Not sure if this is harder on the runner or the crew 😮
Let's call it even 😁
What an epic, crazy adventure. Not sure if it’s exciting or scaring me about the prospect of potentially doing it 😬
I think an equal amount of both excitement and fear is healthy 🤣
You survived Armageddon! 👊
@@alan_wheat I’ve had my lesson in what do to incase of alien invasion 👏🏼
😂
Thanks for confirming that UTMB is kinda shitty
Hahaha don't forget it's kinda awesome at the same time 🤷
This looks way too massive….
Yeah. It almost was.
