Awesome! That’s got to be pretty rare.64 was the first year they put a v8 in those falcons and the 260 was gone by 65. Remember, only the very early Mustangs had the 260and by the end of 64 they were all 289. I would believe the falcon followed suit. Can’t be to many around!
Ford built a small number of Falcons with the 260 in late ‘63 model year. They were top of the line Sprint models. Rancheros were basic utility trucks for the city back then, so there probably aren’t many with the V8, auto transmission, and power steering.
Really cool ride, fully loaded ranchero don’t see those every day. Great video and great find. If you do a Radwood video include your mustang I had no idea you had a fox body!
The problem was the cable that runs from the solenoid to the starter. Already replaced it. Going to order some parts and should have an update video soon.
That's awesome! Pretty soon I'll be looking for another hotrod project.
They’re out there. Just keep an eye out and be ready to go when the right one pops up.
Thanks ford guy

I've had the Fox Body for six years and really should do a video on it. It was in a couple of my early videos, but I never featured it.
My dad had a 64 Ranchero and it had 260 v8
The 289 bolts up to that transmission
Early 260s and 289s are different from later ones. I think the change was in 1965
@@MikeFrankovich they are the same block the 289 is a bigger bore than the 260 that's all
The 260 only lasted two years 63 to 64 all 289s where the same block as the 260
Restore the Ranchero please, It is so worth it.
BBQ @ THE RANCH! .......LOL

Filling the bowl a little more rather than spraying in and around it would have let it run a little better.
I have 260 v8 in mustang the a know on vent very rare
Anything new on it? I got a desert Ranchero a few weeks ago.
I sold it after I got my AMC Matador.
