If you were there for when this movie came out, you really understand how big of a scene this was. We all wanted Dom Toretto back, and for this to end like this had me and my friend leaving the theatre in complete awe. Great times.....before they became 007 agents.
Been here since the release of the first film. Just entered my thirties and feeling my age lol.

Sounds like a bunch of betas
Should’ve just ended it with furious 7
Tokyo is actually one of my favorites.
The fact Vin Diesel did this scene for free due to production running out of budget is a testament to Vin's character.
Literally like an hours worth of cameo work, maybe less.
He also wanted to own the franchise, so now he’s been producer ever since
It wasn't free, it was a trade to own the rights to the Riddick character.
After consulting his agent and manager, they said he should bargain so he can acquire rights for Riddick. So Vin said he will do it for free as long as they traded Riddick franchise rights to Vin. So he appeared for an hour and has pocketed Riddick for $100 million since then. So he made about $100 million after taxes which is $65 million for an hour of work.
Vin mentioned after starting to get big, he randomly asked Warren Buffet for advice in trading stocks at Gala. Buffet said "Seems to me you need to start owning the rights to your characters", and that's what he did.
Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Shaq, Eminem and Vin all have said Warren single handed advice have double or tripled their fortunes.
Jay-Z even said there wouldn't be who plays the money moves better than Warren and turned him from Rapper to Mogul and he would do anything for Warren.
family is more important
The way he says “I got nothing but time” is so smooth.
Honesty such a sick line. There’s a lot of bad ones in this franchise but damn they did good on that
That was the last time he delivered a line with any kind of emotion.
He actually doesn't have much time because he was chasing Deckard Shaw.
@@Havenos Thanks for pointing that out. That's another fuck up with the plot of Han's death being planned after the fact.

The transition from Tokyo drift to los bandoleros is class 🤌🏽

Yeah!
@@Princeof1000Enemies I love you too!
And then finishes off with You'll Be Under My Wheels by Prodigy 🔥🔥🔥🔥

"He was when he was rolling with me."
And from that one line, the rest of the franchise was born.
Goofy as hell. Lol.
More like it died considering this was one of the last couple movies to actually have racing instead of heists
@@rapid9534 It's been all about heists from the beginning, it just escalated with each movie. In fact this movie is the only exception with racing being the main focus. And in my opinion, if they'd have just stuck to racing and small time heists, the franchise wouldn't have made it to 10.
actually this one messed things up from a timeline perspective...

It’s funny because this is the first instance of Family towards Dom. Before it was “I live my life a quarter miles at a time”
Nah not really. At this time family wasn't a big aspect of the franchise. It was honestly a surprise Dom showed up at the end.

As soon as Twinky mentioned "he said Han was family" the entire World knew exactly who was waiting... Toretto says that statement about family 8 million times.
The family meme didn't start much with Dom until the sequels, so it wasn't the big clue. The clue was the American muscle he was driving.

I was also cheering when I saw him fishing and everyone was just looking at me that alone tells you why they decided to change the franchise from racing to action most of the people that watch them don’t care about racing or the JDM culture (or have never played a racing video game) they only care about the stunts and action scenes

God, I miss those times. Everything seemed so much simpler when this movie came out
You're not lying
Still wish they showed us a race with the two. Another missed opportunity in the 7th movie
idk, the ready set go with the cars takin off with the stomp from home girl was a really strong end imo. i really liked it this way
Wouldn't have work cinematography wise. If Dom wins, people leave the movie theater where the last memory of the main character was a lost race. If Dom lost, people would complain that it's a plot device, that Dom is more experienced etc.
U have to end this type of movie on a positive win or a positive suspense, and they chose the latter
It was great as the ending for Tokyo Drift, but I do wish they concluded the race in 7, if only to show Sean as the better Drifter than Dom. I’ve always thought that Dom was the better racer when it comes to drag races, but when it comes to Drift, Sean is King.

yeah would have love to see that happen. I honestly doubt it but I would've hoped Sean won because he literally just became the drift king.
@@PacMusicVault Dom probably won due to experience but I never liked how Sean literally just won the title of Drift king and had to go against Dominic Toretto as his first defense of the drift king title lol
Count me in here 1-3 are classics, this is how this series should have been a street racing drama/action films, if they wanted to do a very big movie, they should have made it as a climex and worked on creating a villian through all those movies.
To me one of the most badass scenes in cinema, the music, the car, Vin Diesel everything is perfect
"Han said you was fast, but not that damn fast".
The way they disrespected Sean’s character in F9 is legendary. They made him that weird, disappointing uncle you try to avoid at family gatherings smh. F&F been done for years
They wanted paul for this but he was busy and told vin to do it imagine brian in tokyo in his skyline
It's crazy how doms car is probably the only car without vinyls

Unpopular Opinion: the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) was the best movie in this Franchise.
Dom already has superpowers since this is basically the beginning of fast 7
There's just something about Dom in this scene that is such a vibe. "I got nothing but time" and "you ready kid?" along w You'll Be Under My Wheels playing is just so good. Feels like a Dom line but not cringe af like "20% angel 80% devil" like wtf is that
May not have been like the first Fast and Furisous but this movie is still better then all the modern FF movies. This movie definitely has its own charm and style to it and I dig it

3 things I can see that people goosebumps…
Han was family, saw dom at the end, and famous song from Need For Speed Most Wanted (2005)
Dom's cameo is like finding out theres a secret boss at the end of the game
"But it's not the car you drive, it's the driver who's driving the car that's doing the driving"
-Vin Seretto
soon as Dom fired up the engine and “You ready kid?”, always the best scene imo
Man went from a main character to the mechanic
One of the best fast and furious scenes in the history of the fast and the furious. I still just want to know who won, I have always felt like it was Sean but it could have definitely been Dom. Muscle cars aren't exactly used for drifting but both of these two could make it work. That's why it's one of the greatest races ever.😳🤯
In my book if you built it you’ve got my respect. If you bought it just keep rollin.
