Build Your Success Team for Finals: Asking for Help

📚 Calling all students and educators! The end of the semester is upon us, and it's time to rethink how we ask for help. In this video, we explore a fresh perspective on seeking support to make it easier for everyone involved. Educators, stick around for a powerful question that can kickstart your students' willingness to seek help.
🦃 As we approach Thanksgiving week in the United States, let's not just clean out our backpacks but also organize our support teams for final exams. The key is to identify three crucial types of people on your team as you navigate through this challenging time.
1️⃣ People with More Power or Skill: These could be your teachers or classmates excelling in the subject. Pause the video and make a list of those with more power or skill. Ask yourself, "Do I have established relationships with these individuals?"
2️⃣ Peers with Similar Power or Skill: Your classmates who share the same struggles can be invaluable allies. Make a list of those you already have relationships with and consider reaching out to strengthen those connections.
3️⃣ People You Can Help: Consider those who may have less power or skill than you. By being of service to others, you open yourself up to receiving help when needed. Make a list and aim to strike a balance in your relationships.
👥 Rule of Thumb: Aim for three people with more power or skill, three peers with similar power or skill, and one or two individuals you're of service to.
