  • Are you (or your students) struggling to stay motivated in school? Fixing these 3 things might be what you need!
    1. Mismatched Rewards:
Do the rewards being offered motivate you? Does the reward match the effort required to achieve it? If not, figure out what reward does motivate you and then reward yourself or ask for that reward from someone who can provide it.
    2. Identity Reframe:
How you think about yourself affects your motivation to take action. Can you get clear about who you are, what you want, and why your learning matters to you? Try filling in these blanks:
    • I am a person who… (fill in the blank)
    • I am a person who doesn’t… (fill in the blank)
    • I know my “why.” I am willing to take action because (fill in the blank)
Then find ways to remind yourself of your why on a regular basis.
    3. Self-Care
Sleep, nutrition, and exercise play a much bigger part in your level of motivation than you may realize! Which of these areas can you make small changes in to help you feel better and be better equipped to do the things you need to do?
Motivation can be a complex thing! Start with one tweak, see what happens, and then try one more tweak. Experiment and see what works for YOU!
