All the interiors on the train were shot with the train in the station. A couple of aerial shots out of Pt Augusta helped to tell the story.

Now the Indian Pacific is in private hands (Journey Beyond) no ordinary Australian can afford to travel on it, no seated car (removed a few years ago), cabins only! Like it or go take a powder.
